Since the Revolutionary War, women have served in times of war and peace. VA wants women who have served to know about the benefits they have earned and are entitled to. That’s why we are hosting a virtual Women Veterans Symposium March 9. The virtual meeting will feature speakers who will provide information on benefits, services and resources available to the women Veteran population; as well as family members, caregivers and survivors who support and advocate for them.

Also invited are women-centric organizations, non-profits and community organizations who will gain benefits and services knowledge they can use when assisting women Veterans.

This symposium, sponsored by the Veterans Benefits Administration’s Office of Outreach, Transition and Economic Development, will also provide information on the Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act (PACT Act) benefits and claims filing, as well as ways to seek additional VA support.

VA offers several sources where women can gain valuable information about their earned benefits.

The Center for Women Veterans monitors and coordinates VA’s administration of health care, benefits, services and programs for women Veterans. The center serves as an advocate for cultural transformation and raises awareness of the responsibility to treat women Veterans with dignity and respect.

The Veterans Benefits Administration has a web page that highlights benefits and services designed for women Veterans. It includes information on Women Veteran Coordinators, VA health care for women and benefits for survivors of military sexual trauma.
