If you want to connect with other military-affiliated spouses and learn about resources, then MilSpouseFest is for you. MilSpouseFest is dedicated to empowering military spouses and families by providing them with information, resources and the community support they need daily.

MilSpouseFest, founded as MilitaryOneClick in 2012, was developed when there was a great need for online resources in one spot. It has evolved into a content site with a thriving live event series and online community at a time when military spouses need resources at their fingertips and face-to-face connections in a digital world.

MilSpouseFest and its presenting sponsor, USAA, are in their 8th year of offering free in-person interactive events nationwide. In 2023, MSF will also offer one virtual program targeting the Pacific Region (Korea, Hawaii, Japan, etc.). The events are open to all military spouses, family members and family advocates.

MSF is led by Danya Devine, who previously led the team and planned events after its founding.

“These events are such a unique way to engage and support our military spouses across the globe,” she said. “This is a really exciting year for our community where we will be able to expand our reach and connect with military families in new areas. Alongside USAA, we are thrilled to be able to provide resources and empower our spouse community through our sessions around education, career building, entrepreneurship and more.”

Military spouse comedian Ashley Gutermuth joins the MSF team as its 2023 keynote speaker. She appeared on ‘The Tonight Show’ with Jimmy Fallon, where Jerry Seinfeld chose her to win the ‘Seinfeld Challenge.’ In 2021, she won the headliner category of the U.S. Comedy Contest. She regularly posts on social media, and her stand-up videos and life as a spouse of a Veteran have exploded to over 250 million views.

“I am so excited to be a part of MilSpouseFest 2023! I can’t wait to meet everyone and hear all the stories of your dryers being filled with pens,” said Gutermuth.

Topics at events have covered many military family challenges, including military spouse employment and careers, education, and new spouse and caregiver resources.

Just like the community it serves, the MilSpouseFest team is made up of military spouses getting through another PCS or deployment, setting up a new house, and building new friendships along the way. Through free face-to-face events and digital content, they create connections and build a global community that feels like a neighborhood.
