For physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and certified registered nurse anesthetists who want to come to VA, but may be indebted to their current employers, VA’s new Contract Buy-Out Program (CBOP) is a game changer.

“Over the years, there have been too many physicians and health care providers who want to serve our Veteran patients but had to turn down the opportunity due to a contract with their current employer,” explained Paul Gaffney, program manager.

“With the CBOP, they now have the ability to not only begin a rewarding career, but it will enable them to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine knowing they have support from the largest health care system in the country.”

Best of all, the CBOP doesn’t preclude you from participating in any of our other programs or incentives. If you qualify for relocation bonuses or education repayment plans, you can enjoy those in addition to the benefit of having your contract bought out by VA.

Listen and follow through on recommendations provided by veterans. Suits in D.C. or SEATTLE doesn’t have to use this system, they have better health care coverage & access to care, than our veterans do. If Seattle is serious in taking care of veterans, build mini (temp) homes on campus to be on the locations that they may receive the care and services they need. This should be utilized around the country, not just in the N.W.

I had no idea tge VA was so hard up for employees as this seems to state? Best get your ducks in a row VA. Start firing the incompetents. I don’t want them working on or for me.
The VA spends so much money on dribble projects that in no way help the Veterans. Eliminate all the special categories , women blacks Hispanics, Asians gay LBQT or whatever it is.
We are ALL Veterans! Leave it at that. Just do what your franchise says serve the Veterans. Save the money you spend on all your pet little special people projects.
I’m white. Yes. I don’t want anything special for me that any other similar Veteran doesn’t get.
Spend tge money on Veterans and stop categorizing us Veterans.
