In 2023, a record number of post-9/11 Veterans found meaningful employment with a mentor’s assistance—for free—from American Corporate Partners (ACP), a national nonprofit organization. The average starting salary was $93,000. ACP will help Veterans find a new position, get promoted and grow their civilian network.

Visit https://www.acp-usa.org and fill out a short online application. Answer questions about your career goals, military experience and mentoring preferences.
What to expect after applying?
- ACP will reach out within 24 hours and schedule a 15-minute phone call to ask a few more questions to match each Veteran with the right mentor.
- ACP will introduce you to a mentor within several weeks of your application to the program and will check in throughout the year to provide customized resources and ensure positive outcomes. Ninety-eight percent of Veterans would recommend ACP.
- All post-9/11 Veterans who have served at least 180 days of active duty since 9/11 are eligible.
- ACP’s weekly LinkedIn Live series connects Veterans directly to partner companies and hiring managers.

I knew it was too good to be true. You only care about post 911 veterans! I am a veteran of the post vietnam period. I am a federal employee. I am being abused and exploited by corrupt, incompetent, and lazy management. Rather than try to fight within such a system, I am making a transition to another career. I am tired of America not caring about ALOT of citizens whose career WAS shipped over seas. You cannot apply in person, only online. I think alot of the jobs posted don’t even exist at all. The very same corporations that are helping these veterans were shipping jobs overseas ONWAY. I think the veterans administration is in “cahoots” with the powers that be that are ruining our society ! YOU ARE ONLY TRYING TO MAKE YOURSELF LOOK GOOD! YOU DON’T CARE AT ALL, OR YOU WOULD BE HELPING ALL VETERANS !!
I see nothing regarding Veterans who are PRE 9/11. There are many of us who are still working and will contribute valuable experience and knowledge to the work environment.
Because we are pre 9/11, does that mean we are too old and can’t possibly be of any asset to your company? I think not and I definitely know this is not accurate.
What we will bring is immeasurable and by overlooking somewhat older workers you omit a HUGE section of the employable population.

Is the tile incorrect? I am looking into changing my career and would like to take an Entrepreneur class, can you let me know if this is available please?

Is this jobs for 9/11 people or all veterans in general? I am old veteran seeing employment, I am 73 years old but I am very well knowledgeable about in the clerical field. I am old veteran who have been abandoned after serving my country. VA paid for only two years of my education and didn’t pay for future education. Never got a job in my career I got sucked in with too many loans. I need to pay back this loans but can’t without a job. Thank you very much!!! If you do not serve veterans let me who can

Is there any career help/guidance for Veterans who served before 9/11? I’m a Gulf War veteran searching for a new job and am getting discouraged. I’ve been working same job for last 28 years and a finally ready for a change but my search for something new is v becoming very discouraging .
Is there any programs like this for pre 9/11 vets. I got out a few months after 9/11 and can not find any programs like this, everything is for post 9/11. I would appreciate any information. I have tried for years to get assistance through programs to help my career or to find a government job. But no luck.
Average salary means nothing, what is median salary. Bet it’s nowhere near 93,000! Why dupe vets with an unrealistic starting salary? Hmmm…deceitful.
What about all the other veterans that are pre- 9/11? Do we simply not exist? Why is there this GI bill bias? Why isn’t there just one GI bill for all? My Montgomery GI bill expired before I could use it all, but by scars have not.

Not sure why you would limit Vets to “Post 9-11” I’m fine with my career and not looking but as a working professional myself, this stinks of AGE DISCRIMINATION.
