Bedford VA hosted the annual Women Veterans Engage conference organized by the Women Veterans Alliance in April.
This empowering event designed by women Veterans for women Veterans provided attendees with a full day of networking opportunities, educational sessions that highlighted available resources from VA, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Veteran support organizations.
“We were thrilled to bring this important event to Bedford VA,” said Leanna Lynch, community relations specialist. “Supporting and empowering women who have served in the military is a top priority. This conference provided a unique platform to connect, learn and celebrate our growing community of women Veterans.”
Forge lasting connections with fellow Veterans
A highlight was the keynote address from Liseth Velez, Army and Air Force Veteran, now the CEO of LJV Development. Velez inspired the audience by sharing her journey as a female Veteran transitioning into entrepreneurship and leadership in the construction industry.
The Women Veteran Engage event created an engaging environment where women could share perspectives, acquire practical knowledge about benefits and services, and forge lasting connections with fellow Veterans.
Thanks to an overwhelming response, Bedford VA welcomed women Veterans who took advantage of this inaugural event aimed at addressing the distinct needs of women Veterans and providing them with exceptional care and support services.
