Veterans, here’s your opportunity to update your mailing addresses on file with VA to avoid undelivered or late VA correspondence through the U.S. mail. If you don’t receive your VA billing statements on time, you could accrue interest and fees and have your debt sent to collection agencies.

This could happen any time that any of your addresses on file are not correct.

Why would I have more than one mailing address with VA?

You might have multiple mailing addresses on file with VA for a number of different reasons. For example, you might want to have a family member receive some of your mail. You might be a snowbird and travel for much of the year and want your mail to go to a permanent address. Or you might live in a nursing home or assisted living and want some mail to go to your nursing home and other mail to go to other addresses.

How to change your VA mailing addresses

Whatever the reason, you can create an account to manage your VA benefits and care in one place—any time, from anywhere. Learn more about how to create an account and how this can help you:

If you are receiving all mail from VA appropriately, there is nothing you need to do at this time.

I think that this is totally ridiculous and outrageous that the VA is posting this nonsense information on a veterans address or is it his mailing address? TheVA should be more specific on exactly what they are looking for or what ever they want the veteran to do.

WHY NOT LIST THE RECORDED ADRESS YOU HAVE SO THAT A PERSON CAN CHECK AND CORRECT ANY DISCREPANCIES.
YOU SHOW NO OPPORTUNITY TO DO THAT?

I found this article most interesting since it’s happened to me several times.

My wife and I were making payments monthly, however, didn’t know each bill
    was separate from others.

We thought when we received the bill that was total cost. It isn’t.
Payments she made went to one account only, nothing went to any other accounts.

Those are the one’s I got notified from collection agency was past due.
That’s straightened out now, and when they checked my home address, it was correct.

They told me all VA bills are mailed once a month middle of the month.

If the VA did not have my correct mailing address, I assume I would not be getting this email. They would mail something to my address or call me on the phone. I don’t know if this is a scam or not. I’ll do nothing.

Please update your own systems! I just found that the reason some of my notices are going to old email addresses and mailing addresses, and even bank accounts (VA Life Ins) was some divisions are tied to access to the old VA eBenefits system. I accidentally signed onto it the other day and saw for myself that my email address and mailing address, bank account are all outdated on there. eBenefits.gov. It is still active and in use by some departments. In fact that old ghost is or was controlling who the computer thinks is my overall home VAMC provider and VBA reviewer for claims, and loads up those groups in my email options instead of the ones I actually see on the other side of the country! Someone needs to either shut down eBenefits or reconcile eBenefits with VA.gov. Thank you.

DO NOT give the VA your physical address as retaliation, corruption, and discrimination are rampant among many VISNS and VA employees WILL retaliate against you!!!

I interested in the hearing solution VA has for veterans who served prior to 1961.
