    I work at The Richard Roudebush VA in Indianapolis. I’ve been waiting on a Peer Support Specialist job to post. I have struggled to get my certification and now can’t seem to find any openings.

    I’m a veteran with 90% disability. My daughter she goes with me to many VA functions, she wishes to be an art therapist, she often helps me to get my stuff setup. She just finished getting her bachelor’s degree in art design, she looks forward to continuing her studies to become an art therapist with a masters degree from NYU…Wishing to know if there is a internship program that she may volunteer?

    I hope the presumed 10 point preference is non applicable…as a 50% (CPS) Disabled VET equipped with a “Federal Service Reinstatement Eligible Status”; 25 years of experience; 2 official foreign language qualifiers from DLI; a TS clearance; VRA and VEOA Appointment eligible status; as a VA Training Enrollee and a Master’s degree at the time…I was refused by the GOV employment apparatus through USAJOBS at the GS-7 and GS-12/14 level over 40 times and can prove it!     When it comes to jobs in the Atlanta area, Atlanta HCS and VISN 7 only advertise to internal VA employees. People on the outside don’t get a chance to even apply. On the rare occasion when the do advertise to merit and the public, I am told the still default back to the VA employees list first and don’t even look at the other applications.

      I work at the phoenix va and have searched repeatedly for positions in Atlanta on usa jobs their may be some truth to what your stating since its rare to even see a job listed for the Atlanta v a system
