When you think of the top social media network to search for jobs, Facebook probably isn’t the first site that comes to mind. But Facebook has over 1 billion users around the world, and VA Careers has an amazing community of employees, job seekers, and supporters who connect with us daily. As such, we’ve added a new functionality on Facebook, making it easier to search for a job while exploring health care opportunities with VA.
When you visit the VA Careers Facebook page on your computer, click the “Jobs at VA” tab at the top of the page, under the cover image. Here you’ll be able to explore openings in your area, find individuals in your network who already work at VA, and learn more about VA as an employer. Other features include:
· Search and apply for jobs from within VA Careers’ Facebook page
· Explore open positions on an interactive map
· Share jobs through your network to friends
· Sign-up to receive email or text notifications of relevant jobs
*At this time, the feature only functions on a desktop computer and will not work within the Facebook app or on a mobile device.

IN SEARCH OF LPN POSITIONS IN ALTOONA AREA WITH THE VA
Just in case someone can answer…I’ve always found it a bit difficult to figure out exactly what to submit when applying for a VA job. Everything seems to require an upload of a packet that contains a resume, cover letter, usually some Federal forms and other attachments like licenses and certifications. But then you get other pages that pop up to submit that info and it gets confusing as to which page is actually getting the info. Anybody got tips or a bullet list of directions???
