Are you a health care professional with an interest in how you could apply your unique skills and qualifications to a career at VA? If you’re reading this blog, you’ve already taken a step in the right direction, but there are also many additional resources for you to explore as you consider a rewarding career serving Veterans.
Digital Brochure Library – In today’s world, it’s all about “short and sweet”—but sometimes we need more information to make an informed decision. The suite of digital brochures on the VA Careers site is organized by specialty and background, so whether you are a transitioning military service member, or an Occupational Therapist, there is content for you to read and learn more about your profession.
Social Media – VA Careers has a presence on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and even Instagram. But our social media pages are more than just pictures and relevant information—they are robust communities comprised of job seekers, current VA employees, Veterans, and more. These communities answer questions, provide advice, and deliver encouragement. Also, VA Careers regularly hosts Twitter Chats that allow you to interact with recruiters directly. Our next will take place on February 19 and will focus on careers in Mental Health.
Employee Testimonials – A picture might be worth a thousand words, but a video is worth many more. The Employee Testimonials section is a place where employees from around the country share their experiences—from the circumstances that influenced their decision to join VA, to a special memory of serving Veterans. By watching the videos, you can put a face to our mission as a health care organization.
