Imagine that. Hiring more healthcare providers for Arizona. Maybe they can get them from here at the VA Medical Center in Las Vegas. The Chief of Medicine recently said that they are overstaffed, but then this is a guy that doesn’t know how to fully utilize his resources.
What about the other terribly understaffed facilities in Arizona; why only advertise for Yuma? Prescott is a prime location as well, & they are so understaffed that I can’t even get an appt without jumping through numerous hoops. The E. R. is closed most of the time after “normal business hours”, nurses are required to work in depts they know nothing about, & to work overtime after their usual 10 – 12 hour day, & forget about 2 days off. Arizona is a fantastic place to live & work! The Prescott VA has a LOT of good people, and most of the veterans are very appreciative. COME CHECK US OUT!!! With more employees, things would get better for all of us.
