Ragan’s award competitions are recognized as the most prestigious in the PR and corporate communications industry, with nearly 800,000 readers monthly to their news sites geared to communication professionals in every country in the world, including 600,000 in North America.

Participation and recognition from awards programs furthers VHA’s health care recruitment and marketing efforts. Recognition in social media is a nod to the effort of reaching qualified health care professionals across social platforms and encouraging viewership and engagement with the employee stories in both the Together VA TV Spot as well as in the My Reason to Serve PSA.

These campaigns promote greater awareness of careers within VA and help in the recruitment of hard-to-reach quality health care providers, specifically, Physicians, Nurses, Mental Health providers and Pharmacists.
