Did you know the Veterans Health Administration is divided into 23 regions, otherwise known as Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISN)? These regions aren’t just confined to large cities on the coasts, either. In fact, you may be surprised by some of our unique locations. In the first part of this series, we visited our Pacific Northwest Network, and now we’re looking into what VISN 19, the Rocky Mountain Network, has to offer.
If you’re thinking about making a change, VHA is hiring Patient Aligned Care Team physicians and motor vehicle operators as well as other positions at the locations below. Start planning your next career move now.
Delicate Arch – Moab, Utah
Big Skies, World Records and National Parks in VISN 19, our Rocky Mountain Network
- Anaconda, Montana – Anaconda VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic
Located in southwestern Montana in Big Sky Country, this small town with a fierce name makes up in charm and natural beauty, what it lacks in population. Nearby is the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness, covering almost 250 square miles navigated by an excellent trail system.
- Afton, Wyoming – Afton Outreach Clinic
Driving into Afton, on the western side of Wyoming, you’ll pass under the world’s largest arch made of elk antlers. Spanning 75 feet across the four lanes of U.S. Highway 89, the arch consists of 3,011 elk antlers and weighs 15 tons.
- Moab, Utah – Moab VA Telehealth Clinic
Natural beauty abounds in the famed Moab, Utah. Located in the eastern part of the state, the nearby Arches and Canyonlands national parks serve as a striking backdrop to residents and visitors alike.
Want another benefit to working at these facilities? Should you ever want to transfer to another unique VHA facility, we make it easy for our employees to relocate. Not only will you not have to get a new license, but you’ll also be able to carry your current benefits with you. Learn more about these perks on our Benefits page under Professional Benefits -> Mobility.
Stay tuned for Part 3 of our series in which we’ll visit tropical locations in VISN 8, our Sunshine Network. (Can you say, “southernmost VA health care facility”?) In the meantime, view our available positions now and see where in the country a VHA career can take you!
