ACP logoVA’s Center for Women Veterans and Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Office are pleased to announce that the American Corporate Partners (ACP)* is providing a minimum of 500 personalized corporate mentorships to transitioning post-9/11 women Veterans, for a one-on-one, year long, customized mentorship focused on career development.

ACP is a non-profit organization, which offers free career counseling and mentoring to post-9/11 Veterans by professionals from America’s top corporations and select universities and hospitals. More than 2,500 senior corporate employees are currently volunteering as mentors in year-long mentorships with transitioning service members. To date, more than 7,500 Veterans and Servicemembers have completed an ACP mentorship.

ACP has more than 60 corporate partners in their mentorship program, including: AT&T, BlackRock, Bristol-Myers, Cargill, Citi, Coca-Cola, Deloitte, Disney, Eli Lilly, Fidelity Investments, General Electric, HP, Home Depot, IBM, Intel, Johnson & Johnson, Lockheed Martin, MasterCard, Morgan Stanley, News Corporation, Occidental Petroleum, PepsiCo, PNC, Tyco, UBS, USAA, Wells Fargo and Whirlpool.

Participation is simple. Women Veterans can apply online and an ACP staff member will contact them within two business days. An ACP operations associate will interview the Veteran to better understand her goals and career objectives. The ACP team works to pair the Veteran with the best mentor they can find. Once the Veteran approves, the mentorship officially begins, and ACP will supply a profile of the mentor, resources and a staff person to assist throughout the year.

Once paired, ACP will follow up with the Veteran and their mentor throughout the year to see how the mentorship is progressing and offer personalized resources to ensure the Veteran has a valuable experience. This is an amazing resource, and best of all, membership is absolutely free.

    Why special programs. we ae all veterans and served our country. No special stuff because of gender , race, or sexual perversity.
    I to served in the same stretch of time and I have had to fight every step of the way.
    No special treatment. all vets get the same treatment.
    Of course, you are not truly equal until you get the same chance of dying on the battle field defending our country. Untill than, you are not equal.

    Thank you for this partnership for our young women. I served in the US Navy from 1974-1980 and have had NO support until recently.
