Hi Veterans. I’d like to share with you “What Veterans Day Means to Me.”
First of all, I’d like to thank each Veteran for having served in some capacity in the military for the Greatest Nation in the history of the World.
From the heart, when I see a Veteran, I see a person who has patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. Meaning simply, someone who, at some point in life, wrote a check to the United States of America for an amount up to and including his or her life. No other commitment matches this great value made to our country.
I am proud of my military service I gave and I would do it without hesitation all over again. RIP for all Veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice and I am wishing all Veterans a Happy Veteran’s Day and may it hold solace to you in your own way…because you deserve it, Veteran.
(John now lives in Millington, Tennessee, with his wife, Michelle, an active duty Navy nurse, and their two German Shepherd dogs, Warrant (his service dog) and Spike. John is an avid golfer and enjoys playing the game as it “keeps him humble” and helps him cope with his service-connected disabilities.)

First of all I would like to thank the men and women who served with a love for this Country, we call” America”. Many men and women have lost every thing as a result of their service to this country.I am sadden by the care that America has given to it’s brave men and women of War.I am a Vietnam Veteran and to this day America has yet to provide for most of us who are in dire need of services and compensation.All the money that was wasted on the Election should have bought every soldier a home for them and their families. However as always the money end up in some Politician pocket.
Veterans Day is not just a day of remembrance,,,,it is also a day to honor all our Veterans who so proudly served in all branches of Service in defense of the greatest Nation in the World,,,,,Vietnam veterans were never honored for their service and sacrifices they made ,,,,it is a shame on our Government and the Media who constantly degraded and downplayed our service and our commitment to provide security and safety for this nation,,,,,,we,,as servicemen and women didn’t start the conflict in Vietnam,,,,,but according to the Media we did,,,,and the Government tied our hands at every turn,,,,,as soon as the conflict in Vietnam turned our way,,,the Government sent cease and desist orders and forced us to withdraw and not proceed northward,,,,this was a daily thing with our Government,,,,,and it happened again in the Middle East,,,,,,so let’s honor one and all and if we must fight a war,,,, don’t just send us to fight,,,,SEND US TO WIN!!!!!!!! 1STSGT Herman Tucker,,,, Retired and still serving
