To show our commitment to community partners, VA developed the Community Veteran Engagement Board. CVEBs as we call it, are combat multipliers. They are grass-roots, collaborative networks working together with one goal in mind – improving the outcomes for Veterans, service members, caregivers and survivors. CVEBs are about getting all the right people who can make a difference in a community at the same table – to work collaboratively, not competitively.
VA modeled CVEBs of off successful community Veteran advocacy groups across the U.S., specifically San Diego’s OneVA Board. Now, there are 132 CVEBs across the country, and that number is growing. These communities are motivated to improve the lives of their Veteran residents.

I was not able to participate in the 8 Nov 17 community event. I would like to send an email to Secretary Shulkin concerning an omission in the current rules for Agent Orange/Herbicide exposure for Vietnam era veterans like myself. It appears that some of us (Army Engineers) who actually built out of dense jungles the various camps and roads in Thailand have not been included as ones who were exposed. This needs to be fixed. I spent 2 years in various Engineer units throughout the country doing just as aforementioned. Why would the rules for Army veterans state only those who were MP only guarding the very camps/roads that we Engineers carved out of the jungles before anyone else would have the need to be there. Thank you.
