Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Navy Veteran Bethany “Beth” Katherine Juris. Beth served from 2000 to 2005 during the war in Iraq.
Following high school graduation, Beth joined the Army for a short time. She went back to school, but later decided to rejoin the military, this time as a member of the Navy. After completing Navy boot camp, Beth was at an air base in Brunswick, Maine for two and a half years. She was then stationed in Norfolk, Virginia on the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier where she worked as an aircraft support equipment mechanic. Beth provided support for pilots heading into war zones by helping certify them for specific landings and complete flight training.
After her service, Beth went to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where she earned her degree in communications with a public relations emphasis.
Thank you for your service, Beth!
