Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Air Force Veteran Thomas Ernest Tafoya. Thomas served during the Vietnam War from August 1965 through January 1969.
Thomas enlisted in the military in August 1965 while he was living in Pueblo, Colorado. He completed basic training at Lackland Airfield in San Antonio, Texas, before eventually serving abroad in Utapao, Thailand, with a unit providing strategic air command support for B-52s and KC main airplanes.
After his service, Thomas went on to earn his master’s in social work and still lives in Colorado with his wife and three daughters.
We thank you for your service, Thomas!
