Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Brock Robert Macintosh. Brock served from May 2006 to May 2014.
After meeting with a recruiter who came to Brock’s high school, he decided to enlist in the Illinois Army National Guard to assist with college. Brock completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he was distinguished as an honor graduate and promoted to E-3. Brock attended Illinois State University while reporting once a month to the guard until he was deployed to Afghanistan in October 2008. He served with the 333rd Military Police Company and 275th Military Police Company mentoring and training Afghan national security forces under Operation Enduring Freedom.
Upon his return stateside in 2009, Brock continued to go to school and serve the guard while he applied for Conscientious Objector status. In 2010, Brock transferred to the D.C. Army National Guard where he served until May 2014. Brock has since graduated from New York University and currently works as an analyst at a management consulting firm.
Thank you for your service, Brock!
