Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Air Force Veteran King Gillespie. King served for over 25 years before retiring in 2013.
King traveled to Croatia as a military adviser to help the Croatian military develop their reserve forces policies after the Balkans conflict of the 1990s. He earned his Master’s of Business Administration from Texas Christian University and his Master’s of Strategic Studies from Air War College. He also received a transformational leadership professional certificate from Georgetown University. King participated in a Brookings Fellowship with the United States Senate. He also served as the deputy director of the Reserve Affairs, Office of the Secretary of Defense and as an operations officer with the Employer Support of Guard and Reserve office. Since 1990, he has been the CEO of The Endeavour Group, a certified disabled Veteran-owned consulting company in Washington, D.C..
