About the 2018 VHA Innovation

Over the years, VA employees have been the source of notable innovations and best practices, such as the implantable cardiac pacemaker, the nicotine patch and the first successful liver transplant. These innovations and others have extended beyond VA and led the way in private health care as well. The VHA Innovation Experience is a two-day event that highlights the work of VA employees who are committed to transforming the way we serve our nation’s heroes. Front-line VA employees from across the country will share highlights, progress and lessons learned about the projects they spent the last several months designing, piloting, testing to improve the Veteran and employee experience. The event will be held August 29 and 30 in Washington, D.C.
