VA Careers is ready to answer all VA employment questions at the 2018 AMSUS Annual Meeting and join attendees in learning about the latest in Veterans’ care and health research from top VA career officials speaking at the event, which is Nov. 26-30 at the National Harbor in Maryland.
VA Careers encourages AMSUS 2018 attendees to stop by Booth TT4 in the Career Center to learn more about a VA healthcare career from James Marfield, a recruiter from the VA National Healthcare Recruiting Service.
“James is at AMSUS 2018 to share information with healthcare professionals interested in working as a doctor, nurse or other medical professional at VA,” said Darren Sherrard, associate director of recruitment marketing. “Conference-goers can also attend sessions to listen to VA career officials in action discussing the latest in VA patient pain management, telehealth, and other research and innovation to help Veterans get better, faster.”
Get information and share resumes
AMSUS, the Society of Federal Health Professionals, brings together clinician researchers, healthcare leaders and policy experts from the U.S. Department of Defense, VA and other agencies to provide healthcare education and inspire future generations to choose a career in federal government service.
VA Careers recruiters will have information to hand out to healthcare professionals interested in various aspects of a VA career and the chance to make a lasting impact on Veterans’ health and the healthcare field. Information will also highlight education and training, research opportunities and unbeatable benefits.
“VA career professionals have made historic impacts on the practice of medicine, including developing the largest electronic health record, performing the first liver transplant and pioneering the field of modern prosthetics,” Sherrard said. “We encourage attendees interested in a VA career path to visit Booth TT4 to share their contact information and resumes with James, who will keep them informed of employment opportunities.”
