U.S. Army Veteran Curtis Wilson (R) moves fluidly through Thai Chi exercises as Recreational Therapist Kim Canova-Romans (L) leads a group of Veterans through a series of movements as soothing music plays gently in the background. “ This helps me focus and relive anxiety that I have from PTSD,” said Wilson. Romans leads the group each Wednesday at the Dallas VAMC SCI Gym and says, “I watch these Veterans learn, relax and gain confidence each week, and I couldn’t be more proud and happy for them.”

    Whenever I go to the VA it humbles me to see all of the older veterans wheelchair bound.
