Team Red, White & Blue’s 1776 Challenge is an epic physical series of goals that brings Veterans, supporters, and Team RWB partners together to focus on service, personal growth, and the joy that comes from doing something hard with others.
Take the challenge each day from June 17, 2020, to July 4, 2020. Together, we will perform up to 100 daily repetitions of various exercises such as lunges, squats, push ups, or crunches. Alternative exercises will be provided to ensure participants at all ability levels are able to complete the challenge.
New exercises will be shared through the Team RWB App every day, featuring demonstrative videos hosted by Team RWB’s corporate and nonprofit partners. Demonstrations will include modifications for various fitness levels and mobility. Additional adaptive exercises will be demonstrated by retired Army Sergeant First Class and and Paralympian Centra “Ce-Ce” Mazyck, a recipient of TrueCar’s DrivenToDrive program.

It is unfortunate that the VA chose to partner with Nike. I stand for the national anthem to show my deep reverence for our country and its flag. I am a former Marine 0311, that served in Vietnam 1966-67. I don’t care if people wish to demonstrate a perceived injustice, but please tell me why it has to happen when the National Anthem is played and our flag is displayed. I see so many people, mostly the athletes I no longer watch, saying, “It’s not about the flag”. Then why kneel when our precious flag is displayed?
I never received my Nike Shirt US Army veteran 3XL
I appreciate Nike and the support they provide to our Vets. It’s too bad that some commentors decided to make this activity about politics. And as typical, those commentors are the people who don’t recognize the reason for the protest. But the commentors have a right to their opinion. But they’re probably the same people the support the confederate flag. The flag the represents the most unpatriotic citizens that ever lived in this country.
I’m glad to have served in order to allow the right to protest and have free speech. I support our Vets and Nike.
I served in the USMC and am a Patriot. I love my country and I believe that everyone has a right to protest. Our country has problems and we cant mask it behind loyalty. So for all you vets that don’t like Colin Kaepernike, ask yourself what you were fighting for if not to have the freedom to redress issues with your government when justice is not present for all. Know why someone is protesting before you start shutting them down for something you don’t agree with.
Awesome challenge however Nike can keep their shirt.
great idea , bad sponseor. no thanks
Sorry, as long as Nike supports dishonoring our flag I am unable to participate. I like the idea, though. In good conscience, I couldn’t wear a Nike shirt. I won’t even buy Nike shoes. Couldn’t you get another company to supply the shirts? I am a lady vet and saw too many of my friends lose their lives while serving under this flag. Respect the flag!
Does this mean the VA supports kneeling during the presentation of our national flag and also supports the people and company that advocate for such disrespect. This 100 percent combat service connected disabled Vet says, “Thanks for the invite. Not interested, Mr. Wilkie.”
Howdy fellow veterans
Great idea. I am 86 and try to keep active.
Thank you
A free Nike shirt?
Really?
The corporation that tried to make a “hero” out of Kapernick?
Seems more than a little incongruous from a veterans organization.
My uncle, PFC Jack (Buddy) Troll, was killed on the beaches of Iwo Jima, 1 March 1945, just two months after I was born. I served in Vietnam in 1968 (WERS17), and every day I offered up anything I accomplished in his honor. I listened to the spot on the code talkers twice. What a great video!
So is this Nike tshirt from the same Nike that supports kneeling for the Star Spangled Banner? Why are they affiliated with the VA?
