Leslie’s Pool Store gives a 10% discount to veterans.
If any honorably discharged veteran takes their dd214 to the BMV/DMV you can get a V (for veteran) on the back of your driver’s license and use that to get your military discount at locations like home depot if your not disabled/ retired. They tend to honor it, but that is not always a guaranteed.
You can go to customer service at Boscovs and get a shopping pass any time – good for the day.

Ford only gives the $500 cash if you are recently separated. I am a disabled Vet and did not qualify because I have been out too long. I believe it is within 5 years. Shenanigans’!

I did not see Big Lots or Corning store on your list. They offer 10% off you purchases year round.
Some stores (notably Home Depot} require a service connected disability. as noted on the ID card. If they have changed that policy, it is news to me.
Home Depot here (northwest Arkansas) and Lowes both have the 10% for all veterans.
For clothing you did not mention “old navy” and the other Gap inc stores, they give active military and veteran discounts too. Also big lots.
So, where’s Amazon, Sams and Walmart? Obviously, the bigger the company, the less they give back.
How does one’s business get on this list?
Most of the time when we ask if business gives military discount one always had to ask whether in restaurants or stores… also, major issue is businesses only offer military discount only on special days such as Labor Day and Veterans Day!
Can I receive the veterans discount. My husband passed away in the VA LEBANON HOME in Oregon. I have been receiving (dic) compensation and receive Champva medical insurance. Do I qualify for veterans discounts. My husband passed away from Service related injuries. Please respond. Thank you
Verizon used to offer a discount on your total bill each month, but in order to get it you had to go into one of their “corporate offices” not just any old branch that is handy and their “discount” did not even make up for the regional taxes and fees. Lots of places offer discounts to attract military and veterans, but not all are worth it. You many end up paying more just trying to save money. I switched to a different carrier that doesn’t offer a military discount, have great service and cut my bill with Verizon in half.
Have used many of these discounts and appreciate seeing many that I did not know existed. Each discount helps. Thanks for compiling such an exhaustive list. I would add shopmyexchange.com and NEX which saves by legally not adding sales tax which in Los Angeles is about 10%.on truly everyday items plus free shipping on orders over $49 Just a thought.
Your comment about Home Depot is not correct. They give a 10% discount for active duty and dependents with military ID. They also give the same discount to veterans with a service connected disability confirmed with the VA card. They do not give a discount to veterans who are not retired military or who do not have a service connected disability.
I’m very pleased to see this list. However we called Dish network to receive Stars and Stripes package at no cost for 2 years added to existing package. It was updated 2-21-21. They cannot honor this offer at this time.

How does the veterans advantage work how do you obtain it
It’s not listed but Home Depot also offers a 10% discount. It’s not as easy to use as Lowe’s because they don’t do preregistration so no online discount and you need to show your Veterans ID at checkout, but it seems to have fewer restrictions and applies even on sale prices.
Unless I’m missing something, to use the CVS discount you have to subscribe to a “Veterans Advantage” program, costing between $4.95 and $9.99 a month. Unless you order quite a lot from CVS, not much of a discount.
You need to state that Home Depot only gives discounts to retired or disabled veterans or active duty military. They DO NOT give discounts to all veterans except on Veterans Day.

One suggestion that would be really nice to have is to have some kind of a discount from Comcast.
Comcast service is expensive and any brake in their monthly service fees would be a relief.
I’m happy & grateful for any Veteran’s discount,no matter the percentage or conditions. The businesses don’t have to give a discount anyway so I appreciate it,just as I appreciate Senior discounts.

If you establish a veteran status with ID.me it may help with online discounts, such as MLB.com (35%).
Home Depot used to allow the 10% discount only on Memorial Day, Labor Day and 4th of July. That was a cheap trick. I do not shop much at HD anymore. Lowe’s allows a 10% discount on items not on sale. I found that out when I bought bagged mulch last year. No discount on sale items, unless you pay with a Lowe’s card. Lowe’s also has Veterans parking up close to the store. Great for those Vets who have a disability.
Home Depot and Lowes give the discount year round with an active or retired ID. I suspect that they will give it to anyone with a VA card.
I believe Boscov’s has a 10% discount for veterans and active duty, but you have to register for it online. I haven’t used mine in several months, so call to verify it.
