Registration open for the 2021 VHA Innovation Experience Virtual Series

The 2021 Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Innovation Experience (iEX) Virtual Series registration is open! This exciting, four-part event put on by the VHA Innovation Ecosystem (VHA IE) will provide attendees a unique opportunity to experience and celebrate how VHA innovation, collaboration and technology are breaking boundaries, forging the future of Veteran health care, and most importantly, changing and saving Veteran lives by reshaping the face of health care across the nation.

The VHA Innovation Experience Virtual Series is open to everyone, and it allows the public, Veterans, health care professionals and innovators to connect with each other and engage in fascinating panels, powerful presentations and insightful keynotes.

Through iEX’s virtual platform, attendees will be able to share best practices, network and discover new ideas that are making a real difference in Veteran lives. Through expert panels, a new pitch competition and hallmark conference sessions like the iEX Talks and VHA Shark Tank Competition, iEX will allow participants to interact with some of the nation’s premier innovators and thought leaders from government, industry and academia. The four sessions will provide insight into how VHA is changing health care and providing Veterans with industry-leading care that is impacting how health care is delivered on a global scale. Breaking Boundaries Collaboration Challenge and Co-Designing for Tomorrow panel (Aug. 26, 1-4 p.m. and Aug. 27, 2-3:30 p.m.)

Hosted by VHA IE and Founder Institute, this event will feature a pitch competition in which innovators will have a chance to collaborate with VA to advance their solution to the next stage of development. The event will also feature a talk from Dr. Carolyn Clancy, Deputy Under Secretary for Health for Discovery, Education and Affiliate Networks, and a panel on collaboration between the entrepreneur community and VA.

Forging a Healthier Future: Post-Pandemic Care (Sep. 15, 2-3 p.m.)

COVID-19 has provided the opportunity to re-imagine a post-pandemic world in which we are all healthier – as individuals and entire populations. Leaders within VA and industry have an in-depth conversation on what health care looks like in our new normal.

Breaking Boundaries: Using Innovation to Advance Health Equity (Oct. 13, 2-3 p.m.)

Innovation can advance health equity and create the conditions in which everyone has an equal opportunity to live longer, healthier lives. Hear from innovators who champion health equity by addressing inequalities in their community and within VA.

VHA Innovation Experience Marquee Event (Oct. 27-28, 12–5 p.m.)

The fourth annual VHA Innovation Experience brings back everything attendees have come to expect from one of the leading health care innovation events of the year, including the iEX Talks, iEX Demos, and a revamped VHA Shark Tank Competition that will deliver live results for boundary-breaking innovators from across the country.
