Nehamon Lyons IV was born March 4, 1971, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. A graduate of Dollarway High School, he attended the University of South Alabama for three years. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1997 and was a crewmember on the U.S.S. Gettysburg, before transferring to the Pentagon in January 2001. Nine months later, he was one of 184 people who died during the attack on the Pentagon.
A family member recalled that Lyons was “shy, a very giving person, very hard-working and dedicated.”
Lyons now rests in Section 22, Site 152 at Little Rock National Cemetery. You can honor his service at his virtual Veterans Legacy Memorial page.
