Many Veterans treated by community providers have caregivers but are their caregivers being actively involved in managing their health conditions? Join VA for a March 25 webinar on understanding the needs of caregivers and their critical role in the care of Veteran, along with the benefits of practicing inclusive care.
A recent VA study found that 56% of VA caregivers said community providers never asked them for ideas about managing their Veteran’s health. And 69% said they have never been asked if they have the skills or training needed to help their Veteran. Also, 72% were never asked if they needed help at home in managing their Veteran’s condition.
During this webinar, you’ll learn how integrating caregivers more fully into the healthcare team results in better outcomes for the health care team, caregiver and most importantly, the Veteran.
