The COVID-19 pandemic requires innovative thinking. That is why VA partnered with MIT and other organizations to put on the MIT COVID-19 Challenge “Beat the Pandemic” Hackathon.

The five innovations below we’re awarded 2020 FedHealthIT Innovation Awards for being forward thinking and delivering results for Veterans.

VEText messaging is helping Veterans enrolled in VA health care with important updates, appointment reminders and opportunities to be seen more quickly.

iNET is a Veterans Health Administration (VHA) program focused on creating opportunities for VHA employees to turn ideas into reality.  The Spark-Seed-Spread Innovation Investment Program invests funding back into VHA employees and VAMC, allowing them to test and develop their ideas and solutions in an accelerated lifecycle.

Diffusion of Excellence kicks off its fifth cohort at the 2020 Diffusion of Excellence Base Camp Feb. 11-13 in New Orleans.
