Today President Trump kept his promise to our Nation’s Veterans and signed the historic VA MISSION Act into law. His leadership today in the Rose Garden is testament to his commitment to Veterans, caregivers, and their families.
The bipartisan support fostered by the tireless work of both the House and Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee Chairmen Rep. Phil Roe and Sen. Johnny Isakson, along with members of the committees, led to the overwhelming passage of the Act.
We also recognize the outstanding efforts from our Veterans Service Organization partners to deliver this promise to those who served this great Nation.
As President Trump told Veterans today, “In every generation there have been heroes like them, patriots who answer the call to serve, who do whatever it takes, wherever and whenever we need them to defend America. They put everything on the line for us. And when they come home, we must do everything that we can possibly do for them. And that’s what we’re doing.”
VA looks forward to implementing the law to give Veterans the best possible care by increasing flexibility and streamlining access to healthcare.
