At the Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service, we’re working to support Veterans experiencing homelessness through our Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program, a competitive grant program focused on reintegrating individuals into the workforce and building strong systems to address the challenges veterans experiencing homelessness routinely face.  

During National Pet Month and beyond, VA is working with multiple pet organizations to ensure that Veterans experiencing homelessness or housing instability have the support that they need to keep their pets healthy, safe and well cared for.

Helping Veterans through the pandemic is one of White River Junction VA's primary missions. The Vermont medical center, and partners, recently helped several Veterans access their earned benefits, including helping one find housing stability. 

The Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) Homeless Programs Office (HPO) has released its newest five-year strategic plan.

WWII Veteran Hobart Balaton has a place to call his own, thanks to the caring staff at the VA Western New York and the HUD-VASH program.

The Cemetery Apprenticeship Program trains Veterans to be caretakers at VA national cemeteries, performing a variety of grounds, equipment, and building maintenance duties.

Hire MI Vet focuses on community involvement, education and hiring events. The initiative has made a range of employment-related services accessible to all Veterans who are unemployed or at risk of becoming unemployed.

Since 2011, Operation Sacred Trust has helped prevent and end homelessness for nearly 3,000 Veterans and family members across south Florida.

Veterans Month and National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week mark the conclusion of a three-month collection drive organized by VA’s Office of Acquisition, Logistics, and Construction (OALC) to support our nation’s Veterans.
