In January 2023, VA will launch a new life insurance program called Veterans Affairs Life Insurance (VALife), which provides guaranteed acceptance whole life insurance coverage.

The next free seminar in the Wellness Wednesday Financial Education series, March 16, focuses on life insurance. There are two, hour-long sessions at Noon and 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (9 a.m. and Noon, Pacific Standard Time).

Nov. 1, 2021, is the 20th anniversary of FSGLI. Since 2001, VA has paid nearly $1.7 billion in claims to 8.9 million service member dependents.
