If you’re the survivor of a Veteran who died from a toxic exposure-related condition, you may qualify for new benefits like the VA DIC Program.
New legislation has expanded eligibility for VA DIC. If you’re the survivor of a service member who died in the line of duty or a Veteran who died from a service-related injury or illness, you may qualify.
VA is closing a gap in survivor benefits for certain survivors of LGBTQ+ Veterans—specifically, for those who were unable to wed until the 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges Supreme Court decision.
