VA Secretary Denis McDonough kicked off Team Red, White and Blue’s Old Glory Relay on May 25.

As a nonprofit organization that offers a health and wellness community for Veterans and civilians, Team RWB provides virtual and local, consistent and inclusive opportunities for Veterans and the community to connect through physical and social activity through its nearly 200 chapters nationwide and the Team RWB App.

From May 25 – July 7, the Old Glory Relay unites thousands of supporters to walk, ruck, run, push and cycle a single American flag. That one flag will travel 3,100 miles across 15 states in 44 days. The journey started at the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C. with VA Secretary Denis McDonough and will kick off The World Games’ opening ceremony in Birmingham, Ala.

How can you participate?

Veterans and community supporters of all ages and abilities nationwide are welcome to participate in the Old Glory Relay. Join Team RWB to run, walk or hike with the flag in person or participate virtually from their communities.

Participants are invited to virtually run, walk or hike an American flag wherever they are during the 44-day trek between May 25 and July 22.
