For all those mightier than thou that refuse to partake in the free food and think that the homeless or those in retirement homes should be taken care of. Heres a thought !!! How about finding you one or 2 or 3 homeless vets or a couple guys from the retirement home and taking them to the restaurant with you and you all can enjoy a free meal !!! Or are you to good to be seen with them and only want to complain about it ???
Could not be prouder of all the US citizens that show appreciation to the men and women in the US military, who willingly offer their lives to protect this country so that we all can experience the freedoms we have, I am a veteran and 66 years old. I live in South Africa and can tell you there is no greater country in the world with people who appreciate and at times give their very lives for a country. We are truly a country blessed by God.
These offerings are amazing and greatly appreciated. When I finished my active duty in 1973, I could not have imagined anyone offering gestures of thanks to military veterans.
Please leave a tip and a thank you
Thanks to all on this list, and many others for the thoughts. Does my heart good. Quite a bit different than when I joined up in Oakland in 1971. I won’t be using any of your resourses, as I can make my own way but I am eternally greatful for your support.
Thamk you ,
Proud to have served! Twenty years Army. Was a WAC, too! :) Apr74 to May94. Before it was “Army Strong” and “Be All You Can Be”, I joined when the song was “Join the people who joined the Army. You could start living your tomorrow today!”. Anyone remember that?
Thanks to all the business that offer Veterans meals and discounts for service to our country. Thanks to active/veterans who served. God bless America is still blessed. Hallelujah.
Word to the wise: Call ahead. I’m in Oregon and most of these businesses either aren’t honoring these discounts, or they are markedly different from what these offers state. For instance, there are 4 Flying Pie restaurants in Oregon, and none are offering any sort of Veterans Day deal. They may offer %10 off the bill. Most of the places I called today had employees who had no idea what I was talking about or even if there was any sort of Veterans Day deal at their establishment. Yeah, I know, Oregon! Props to all of the businesses that are making deals, and to all of the veterans who deserve them
Shout out to Michael J Blassie. It was a pleasure watching over you. Who was he?
For someone that’s divorced (used to cooked meals), lives alone, & most importantly, hates to cook, this is the one of the best days of the year. Thanx
I was grateful to serve and would do it all over again. I love this great country and so grateful for all who serve regardless of how long. You all deserve to be recognized and thanked. His bless you all and god bless this great country.
Thanks to all who help Veterans
It is all appreciated. I hope other veterans realize this gift from businesses, and patronize them the rest of the year. I only go to places I go to. I have a sticker for sonic, so I won’t take up a slot for other vets’. The coffee is a great thing, how much can we drink, smile.
Enjoy the breakfast and meals.
Glad Golden Coral is on the 14th, I wish Perkins was.
Thank every where you go.
Please Remember & Support US every day, not just Veterans day. A smile, wave goes along way. Our enlistment never ends. USA/USN/ARNG
Thank you for honoring us Veterans. We appreciate your service too. God Bless.
I want to thank all businesses that have given meals & discounts to all veterans. You have sacrificed by making less profit for that day to honor those who have sacrificed years of their life for their country. May God bless you and your business.
It’s not about the “freebies”. Veterans Day is to remember those lost and support those who have served, and our future in America and abroad.
I didn’t join the Navy for future freebies, I did it to help protect America! I thank all who had passed and all vets and those serving today!!
God bless us all!
I’m a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the son of a Korean War decorated Air Force Fighter Pilot who was shot down and jumped out
of his P-51 Mustang over North Korea. His parachute caught fire upon leaving his plane and he ended up falling into a reservoir bordering North and South Korea. He was picked up by a local fisherman and not knowing whether or not the fisherman was sympathetic towards Americans my father pulled his service pistol and with water dripping from the barrel demanded to be taken to the South shore. He spent six weeks in a hospital in Seoul, Korea and returned to duty to fly an F-86D jet and finished his 100 missions over Korea.
Our immediate family was a proud family of six, four of which served our country honorably and a Mother that raised all of her “boys” to respect their fellow person and stood by her husband and helped him retire respectfully, Lt. Col. Lawrence Wharton Cookman. May they both Rest In Peace. God Bless the Veterans Administration and God Bless America.
Thanks to all my comrades who served our country.
Thank you from a family with 118 years of service in the U S Marine Corps in 6 wars.
If you really want to thank these establishments keep going back and thank them even after Veterans Day is over.
Thanks for all the support !!!!Go ARMY!!! HOOAAAAAH!!!
Thanks for the information.
Thanks for the info
Wow many of these places used to give a full free meal, now it’s off of a select menu or a free entre rather than a full free meal. Makes it not really worth taking the time anymore.
Thank you all veterans for keeping our country safe.
Not to sound greedy but some restaurants give so little but take credit for doing something good one day a year ! Freedom is not free , veterans volunteer their lives for years ! At what cost death , loss of limbs , PTSD for life after volunteering!
I rarely use any of these links or accept any of these “free” meals as a “Thank You” for my military service. You want to thank me for my service? Really? Then I want a letter of apology from my government for sending me home with swine flu right in the middle of a full blown epidemic without telling anyone of us. I want a letter of apology from the city officials who refused to protect us from the protestors who were spitting all over us and our uniforms when we were just trying to get home, not realizing yet that our own government had sold us all out to the VC government. I want an apology from the VA for treating us like sh*t and mental cases when we are decent human beings trying to cope from day to day and not become one of the “22” like our brothers and sisters who made the list. Frankly, I tire of people coming up to me and thanking me for my service because coming from most of them it sounds so rehearsed, trite, put on, like an old record that keeps playing the same tune so many times you’re sick of hearing it. I wonder if you’d be thanking some of us if you truly knew what we did for our country during Vietnam – I scarce say not.
Thanks to all these merchants for these considerations especially after COVID has hit many of them hard!
Thank you for remembering…don’t know what else to say….thanks again.
Thanks for honoring our veterans
I am:
Army

Thank y’all sponsors for remembering the Veterans and sharing and appreciate the generous discounts & freebie’s
Nam 67-68 Tet Offensive
Thank You to all the merchants, nation wide, that offer discounts for Veterans…your generosity is ALWAYS appreciated and NEVER expected. Thanks again for what you do…AIRBORNE!!
RECOMMENDATION: Could the website have a location filter to only show local establishments?
Thank you for this listing. It shows the support and appreciation businesses have for our country’s Veterans.
The price of freedom is not free…Veteran’s continue to pay the price for all Americans.
It is such an appreciated gesture from the merchants.
Never “expected” always “appreciated”.
Thank you!
Thank You, God Bless You and God Bless America! Hooyah!!
Saw an email from Coco’s – looks like their meal is free, not BOGO. As with all of these, call first to be sure before you go. Thanks to those honoring our vets, and fellow shipmates (that includes those shorebound,) who served!
To me, there are two (2) NEEDED functions and/or communications: 1) HOW do I simplify / sort the list? Such a “in or near San Antonio Texas.” 2) Then, HOW do I “EDIT” the list?
Just read it – don’t be lazy, it’s all free stuff.
Nothing wrong with working smarter, not harder.
Much of the free stuff is not only regional, but is micro-regional. For example, some of the south has a Chick-fil-A deal, but most of the country says,
“Sorry, not here”. I’d rather a company makes a special reward for all vets that visit their company, rather than “only if you are a ‘southern’ vet. it is just more of Chick-fil-A’s hypocrisy. Same for TA Stopping Centers, etc.
I appreciate how you serve us because we served. I would appreciate if we could get anything that has just local restaurant listing for veterans day free meals. Also, it would be appreciated if they had more offers for half-hour for those of us that are wounded, unable to get out. Thank You so much.
Nothing is wrong with the list, call your local vendors for confirmation….just that simple….
Thank you to all the veterans this Veterans Day.
The VeteranBargains.com Veterans Day list of special offers was just posted. There are two lists. One for the entire country with about 400 offers https://veteranbargains.com/veterans-day-2022
and one for the Wichita KS area with just under 100 offers. https://veteranbargains.com/wichita-veterans-day-2022
Thank you again for serving our country. Enjoy your day off and the appreciation of those businesses that want you to know they care.
James Bower, The Veterans Friend™
https://Jeweler4Veterans.com and https://DenverJewelers.com are owned and operated by a US Marine Corps Veteran, and we give a 10% discount or more every day of the year to all Veterans. I believe in taking care of our own. If you are a Veteran looking for fine jewelry, contact us.
Thanks for supporting all vets, especially mine!❤️?
Great job merchants!!!!
THANK YOU FOR HONORING OUR SPECIAL VETERANS FOR THEIR SERVICE TO THE USA. THANK YOU VETERANS FOR YOUR SERVICE. WE ARE PROUD OF ALL OF YOU.
Thank you so much for supporting Veteran’s. The Gov’t doesn’t do enough to help us.
Thank you for this listing, and appreciate every vendor who opens their heart to love on us Year by year!
Thank you for your generosity on this Veteran’s Day. Very kind of all of the numerous businesses doing this, especially during this economically challenging period.
Thank you all for supporting our veterans and service members for their military service
To the supportive and caring Merchants and Fellow Veterans, thank you, thank you!
Thanks for caring. Proud U. S. Navy Veteran!
How come military spouses not included ?
Because they didn’t serve in the US military. That’s why.
Those who stand by and wait also serve (vet and former navy wife).
Know that they supported this country in ways that we’ll never understand by running a home single handedly, raising the children alone, managing the bills, and coping with the tremendous stress of whether or not they’d see the chaplain’s vehicle pull up outside their residence or get that “letter” in the mail. I think that deserves a free meal don’t you?
Spouses serve every day alongside their military members!
Those who set and wait, also serve, regardless of gender. AH
Were you on a ship ? Did you have boots on the ground ? Did you jump out a helicopter? On a sub ? No you was home a safe home living a normal life , you married a military man knowing what they do , PROTECT AMERICA AND MORE !
Thank you to all the merchants for showing their appreciation. Really like the offers of get a voucher for later, saves on the huge crowds that are often seen.
The Main Cup coffee house in Burlington Colorado is serving all Veterans a complimentary 12 oz. cup of anything from our menu as a small token of gratitude for the service and sacrifice in protecting our freedoms. Thank you!
Thank YOU for thoughtfully serving others on vetetans day. We vetetans thank you and all businesses for you giving to us. May GOD bless your efforts for your financial sacrifice to us
Thank you ? so much for showing your appreciation for service to our country! Your offers are truly appreciated! Bravo!
Wow… I had fun just scrolling all the offers. Thank you.
The dates on California Pizza Kitchen are wrong. Whoever put this together did not incorporate the company website. It clearly states only the 11th for the free meal and complimentary non-alcoholic beverage.
That was deliberately designed to trick veterans into going in early and being turned away because the restaurant was not doing the promotion yet.
What is wrong with va.gov? You are supposed to be a paragon of truth, honesty and fidelity to the American way. I see this slight for what it is. A blatant disregard for the sacrifices of those who have served.
You give us accurate information or you don’t put it up on the internet. HAVE I made myself clear!
Yeah, believe me you made yourself clear…
My thanks to all who did this though. I hope the rest of us will honor our fallen vets who weren’t able to make it back by showing appreciation to all these vendors, showing the best of what vets are.
You are special…
Someone posted that it was incorrect and left the correct info in the comments above if you would have looked.
California Pizza Kitchen info is incorrect. Use this link to their site for the actual offer.

I’m also a Vet, ’66-;67 who would like to say THANKS to all the merchants who give so much to us. It’s really appreciated.
So grateful for all the caring merchants. I will be sure to reciprocate with my support for your businesses going forward.
I see PaPa Murphys dont offer anyhting to vets.
Are they required to?
Thank you to all the vendors and merchants for recognizing all veterans.

We appreciate this valuable information for veterans. It helps us a lot . Without this we would not get to enjoy the many services that are provided to us. I would also like to thank all the companies , businesses , sponsors that help veterans. I truly am blessed and grateful for all you do.
A BIG THANK YOU to all merchants who provide support and these wonderful options on Veteran’s Day. I greatly appreciate it and may God bless you and your employees for all that you do.

Vietnam 68-69,thanks to all. It is deeply appreciated.
So many eating places to choose from. So many fine, friendly places and persons that make this happen. People really don’t say thank you enough to others. So thank you all for helping and honoring the veterans on this ‘special’ day. This brings a warm and special feeling in my heart that people are doing this for us. Thanks again and many blessings to you.
Veterans, thank you for your service! ♡
Merchants, thank you for your generous offers!
VA, thank you for the list!
Trying to be helpful…
California Pizza Kitchen is listed as November 8-10, 2022, but it’s actually only on November 11, 2022

Domino C-Stores are in Oklahoma, not Ohio.
Thanks for doing this for myself and all vets. It’ s the thought that counts, thanks.
Much love to all veterans…thank you for your service.
Oh, my. The time and effort to pull all of this together for our benefit. What a blessing.
And, to all of those offering their goods and services to honor our Veterans, despite very trying and difficult times, you are truly appreciated. What a sacrifice you are making to honor our Veterans. Blessings to all of you.
Thank you !!
It’s an honor to honor you.
It feels so good to be appreciated.
God Bless and God Bless The USA.
Thank you so much for creating this list. We go to Dennys for bkfst & Applebys Oceanside for dinner every year. They make us feel very special. It’s wonderful. Dennys Oside is where my wife & I met. Applebys has banners & even a table of the unknown (MIA) soldier set up. It’s very inspiring. I did 22 yrs in the USMC.
Mostly on Camp Pendleton, Oside, CA.
We are so thankful for being treated so special on Vets day!
Thanks for your service fellow devil dog and I will be enjoying my meals this time around
Thanks so much
Thankyou to all of the companies, staff and those who make this opportunity available for us!! We greatly appreciate it!! Mu husband us a Vietnam Veteran.
Cambells Soup Co., in Napoleon, Ohio, is giving Veterans access to the employees factory store. Nov. 7-11
if/when we do partake of any of these offers..
then it would be respectable to show thanks..
..”To the Managers, and to the staff,
and to the restaurant chain,
On behalf of all of us Veterans,
[especially those of us who are unemployed!)
Thank You for continuing to offer this to us !
we THANK YOU for your generosity !
.. especially during this time of both employee shortage and supply shortages !
There are MANY local establishments in MOST locations that give free meals or discounts to Veterans. Very often they don’t advertise their offer. Call your favorite restaurant and ask if they have a special for Veterans on Veteran’s Day. You may be surprised to find out that they do. ALL Veterans have earned these offers!
I’m like many of you, I have mixed feelings in accepting a generous gift albeit I’m financially equipped to buy my meal, coffee or donut. I do appreciate the heart and kindness of those making these gifts available. I have decided to take out a meal and pass it along to a homeless vet. My wife and I will certainly dine-in on Friday, yet like I’ve read on this site… it feels right to tip heavy to the wait staff. Blessings brothers and sisters in arms.
THIS^^^
Rocky is 100% correct. I can afford these meals and discounts and usually pass them along to the Veterans who cannot. When/if I do take advantage of a discount I ALWAYS tip heavy to show MY appreciation to the staff working on Veterans Day and the businesses who support us. I urge fellow Veterans to be humble and show your appreciation by doing the same.
Thank you to every company listed and those that aren’t who offer specials to us Veterans.
YWCA facilities (gyms and pools) have a TX Vet grant that could cover your entire gym membership cost.
It gives access to all locations, the pools, gyms, and any classes on the locations schedule!
This is also offered year round not just veterans day. You can contact YWCA at 915.519.0002 or our website https://www.ywcaelpaso.org/
Good day to all my brothers and sisters, I totally agree what Mr. Ellis commented on. Nothing is owed you.
Thanks to the individuals , VA who made up this list and to the company’s offering their products and appreciation. All my complaining brothers and sisters need to grow up. Nobody owes you nothing in this life. USN retired, 68 to 92.
List is very frustrating. Needs to be by STATE ! Most of these do not exist in some states ! Wasted most of my time. I’ll stay home, fly my flag. and remember my buddies and friends who never came home ! My Grampa, Dad, two Uncles and little Brother. ALL U.S. NAVY !
Please do stay home. Good grief. Took me 5 minutes to scroll through the list. Show some gratitude shipmate
I did not watch my buddies die face down in the muck so that I would have to look up which state a restaurant was in to get a free meal…
Thank you for the list, great stuff.
Looks like this list has grown in the last few years. Personally I have only gone out for a Veterans Day lunch or dinner a couple times in the last 20 yrs but it is very much appreciated
…very much appreciated indeed! Blessings to all!
Although I’m a Viet-Nam Veteran who served in the U. S. Marine Corps (1968-1972), I have never took advantage of the free meals and other delights the good, kind, decent patriotic Americans offer on Veterans Day. My reason(s) being; I have the resources to obtain my own meals and I believe that by accepting a free meal might deny a Veteran who cannot pay for a meal. And I do not feel that I deserve this honor while so many Veterans are homeless and who commit suicide each and every day. I wish that these kind business would consolidate and establish a fund to address these very important issues that greatly affect Veterans each day of the year.
Respectfully, It’s all in your head! You deserve it, and you aren’t taking food away from anybody. Get some!
I’m with you William. I am also a Vietnam Army combat vet, serving in country from ‘68-‘69. I have not taken advantage of any free meals on Veterans Day over the years either, for the same reasons you mention. I may this year, however, because those IHOP red, white and blue pancakes sound to good to pass up. HA!
Seriously though, while their intentions are noble, these businesses could help the less fortunate of our fellow veterans by donating their resources in a more impactful and ongoing way. I know the VA tries, but the bureaucratic log jam is horrendous. It’s almost cruel to imagine a seemingly simple solution become unattainable in real time. I share your sentiment…..AND…btw…. it’s a P38…NOT….a John Wayne ?
Never have I ever felt so appreciated to me it was the greatest honor to have served in the marine corps with my dear brother Johnny. The memories I have from that time are priceless
I think it is just fine to accept a free donut or coffee. But, love my veteran brothers and sisters who do not take advantage, so as to help those vets who may need a meal. That is the veteran spirit I love. This is a wonderful country.
Tom
You do know John Wayne was a draft dodger right? It seems a shame to mention his name on this post with heroes.
Hi William,
There’s another piece to the Veterans day events that I really enjoy… I get to see my fellow veterans at all the establishments that offer these specials. I think these organizations have realized how special this day has become and I wont deny …. it feels great! This is why the list has grown and those companies that currently offer meals etc… continue to do it! I take my boys with me to all these locations and we actually create an itinerary. My kids see all the vets from past and present, and we have conversations about the military.
You more than deserve it!! Go and let some one get a blessing by serving you. You aren’t taking a meal away from another veteran.
To each their own but if some one puts their hand out to thank me for my service I sure would not turn away from them. It makes them feel good too acknowledging our service. The free meal they are offering you is a thank you like a hand shake. I kind of doubt its taking food out of any needy vets mouth. The VA and the government have treated me very good since my service to our country. USAF 1965 to 1972. I served my time in combat in Vietnam and getting a free meal once in while makes up for the lack of the welcome home we did not get. It took like 30 years before anyone said to me thanks for your service. At the present time only about 1/3 of us Vietnam vets are still alive. Freedom is not free. Us vets should celebrate all those that we knew and serviced with living or not.
Well why dont you go and stop and grab a homeless Vet or 2 or stop by the Retirement home and grab an old timer or 2 and take them with you !!!! Since youre so worried about them !!
Never saw this before. Very informative & welcoming from all these companies. So Glad I saw this.
Great information, thanx
Jiffy Lube has a coupon offering 50% off any Jiffy lube Signature Service Oil Change. 11/11/22 – 11/12/22.
Thanks for your thanks!
Thanks again for the updates and for the efforts to keep US informed…
This is a great one-stop-shop to see what local companies near me are offering and I’m humbled. They seem to get a bit more generous every year. Thanks so much for compiling this list!!
How do you go about obtaining an ID for a veteran?
Use your DD214.
Hugo, its a same day thing at any VAMC. You will need a valid ID and your DD214.
(Discharge papers)
Your DD-214 should work.
A lot of DMV’s you can get a VA ID in Virginia it is 10 dollars looks like a drivers license has the Brance of service you were in . can be used year round for proof of being a vet
Same in North Carolina
In Florida you can have a “V” placed on your Driver’s License by presenting DD214. It is accepted as proof of service anywhere.
[Editor: This is true of all 50 states.]
In Ohio I presented my DD214. My license reads Armed Forces.
Some places use your drivers license if it has Veteran on it, some will use your VA medical card.
Great info. Thank you very very much !
Great clips offers free haircuts too veterans
Thanks for supporting our troops for all they sacrifice for and give to our country.
Thanks to Denny’s. Times are hard for a lot of people. I plan to leave a generous tip to the people waiting on my table.
You the man, David Mann! I’m sure you heard that a couple of times before. I just couldn’t resist. Plus I like your first name. Back in High School true story: I was the new kid at a new school in the 11th grade. They already had (2) David’s in the class. The teacher suggested since we already have a David and Dave may we refer to you as Davy? I replied I ain’t no Monkey (Davy Jones) lol. I pointed to the other David and said he can be Davy and I will stick with David. Happy Veterans Day! From one David to another David!
Every second Tuesday of the month
Pollo Tropical is honoring all active duty and military veterans with a free quarter chicken platter every second Tuesday of the month at all its Florida restaurants. All active duty and military veterans with valid identification can receive a complimentary Pollo Tropical quarter chicken platter with two sides each Military Appreciation Day.
I would like to add our company to the list for offering our Veterans a discount on our products. Can someone please connect me with the correct individual. We are currently supporting 170+ military locations globally and we are committed to our active and retired military. I can be contacted at info@myAIRfeet.com
Thank you so much for this list.
Hello,
Thank you for all this info.

Thanks from a former medic 2/28th FA
Waffle House & Taco Mac offer discount year round;
Zaxby’s ??
Wow, nice to see another 2/8F FA vet.
Thanks for this valuable info.
EVERYONE!!!!! GO GET YOUR “AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL” MILITARY LIFETIME PASS…… It is offered to Veterans as well.
Where do you get that at?
Yes! The pass is awesome. I got mine just before our trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Saved $80 or so!!
Love this, but I have to drive for over an hour to get to any one of these except Zaxby’s, so I guess we’re headed to Pigeon Forge, TN. We’ll be spending the day there! Happy Veterans Day, Brothers and Sisters!
Thanks to all that provided the list of services that retailers are providing for all the veterans who have served our great country. I am a Viet Nam veteran who enlisted in 1966 and volunteered for Viet Nam at a time when the war was not a popular one. After returning from my tours and processing at Oakland Myself and a few fellow veterans received a pass to visit San Francisco for a day. I remember getting approached by some unfriendly people who were screaming at us and calling us baby killers and even spitting on us. It took me a number of years to find a way to understand how fellow Americans can do that to us. Today I am a very proud American Veteran who feels good about my service to my country and I would go back to Viet Nam if called upon by my country even when I am in my seventies. Thanks again for all the great information your Website provides as it is most helpful in our daily lives.
Thank you!!!
Really? Spit on? Never a documented case. Wouldn’t you have smacked someone spitting on you? Please stop perpetuating this proven lie.
Im from the Bay I seen these low lifes doing what Tony Said Thats a FACT
Thank you for backing Tony – I have heard EXACTLY what he described!
You were definitely not a Vietnam Veteran who came home during 1968 or 1969. If you were not there, then you have no right to call someone else a liar. The country was in a very different mood back then compared to now.
What are you calling him a liar about? Is it you think we weren’t in Viet Nam in 1968 or 1969? Or because you don’t think he was spit on? Your statement sounds like you think he wasn’t in Viet Nam because of the way you worded your comment. My husband was in Viet Nam in 1965 and 1966. In fact, we started writing when he was there and met when he got back. We have been married over 53 years now and I am very proud of my husband’s service in the Navy and the Army. He served in Viet Nam and in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
I served. USAF, 2nd AF, 97th Bomb Wing, HQS Squadron., 62-66. Not only did you NOT serve, you don’t know history… I doubt you were even born then. Yes, Viet Nam was happening then.
Amen! tired of that remark.
Gee, “Bill”,
Guess so many of those who actually LIVED that miserable existence in those times – must be total fakes (in your mind), then?
Sorry, but I must whole-heartedly disagree with you, because my own Dad was one of those Vietnam Vets (three tours) who often talked about how nasty some of these “hippies” were to many of our returning survivors of that living hell! – He even described how some young, college-age punks would throw “baby-dolls” at them – as symbolism for being “baby-killers”.
Just because the feeble-minded of the lot want to refuse to acknowledge that some fellow human beings could actually be capable of such mental and emotional torture (on TOP of what “war” does plenty of, anyway), does NOT mean that it NEVER HAPPENED!
So, “Bill”,
Sounds like perhaps YOU may have a vested interest in ignoring the facts of history, regardless whether or not they may be “officially recorded” in “history”? There are many still-surviving, hurting souls out there, who probably wonder WHY they put themselves through all that – to only be abused, disgraced, and attacked by muttonheads – who would have never mustered up the cajones to ever stand for something they truly believe in.
Sorry,
Can’t help ya there. Have you tried putting in some volunteer time at your local State Veteran’s Home or Hospice? – You’d be quite surprised to hear about a completely different reality – from the one the “TV newsman” tells you is “reality” every day.
– JSSmith
( US ARMY, 1986/10/21 – 1994/10/14 )
Bill, it is sad to say that you are one of the people we were willing to give our lives for so YOU could have your freedoms! Maybe you could chose to use your freedoms and NOT call a Viet Nam Vet a liar!
And to Tony, yours is not the only story I have heard like that. It breaks my heart that people could be so cruel to do things like that to anybody. Thank you for all you did for our country. America is still worth fighting for! God Bless every one who stuck their necks out for this great nation!
Your comment show exactly how ugly a person you are. Either the gentleman is exactly correct (this is the most probable) and you have thrown a grievous insult. Or a memory of 50+ years ago is clouded by other documentable despicable behaviors that you obviously sanction. And either you are old enough to remember and are carrying a grudge or you weren’t even born yet and have no right to comment. Have you ever talked to one of these honorable service members when then open up about the tragedy they lived. I have, I joined the military in 1975 and the tails related are evil enough to chill even you; you are an ingrate, despicable – move out of my country.
Bill, someone needs to smack you for a statement like that.
I never said we did not retaliate after getting spit on and I do not lie about what happened to us on that day. Who are you to judge? Are you a combat Veteran? Are you or have you ever been in combat? Better yet have you ever served?
Bill
Happened to lots of friends who were a few years older than me, I just missed the draft period, but volunteered and did 20 years.
How long did you serve? Just wondering.
Give my best to Jane…
Never a documented case? Have you been getting your information from Geraldo? All the guys I got off the plane with were spit on and one lover tried to stab me with a little American Flag mounted on a little wooden staff! I’ve got that Flag in my collection to this day, and that lover? He required an ambulance. You don’t try to take on a hardened specialized infantryman that just got out after serving in-country; it’ll never bode well for you.
Tony….never a documented case…..it’s a wonder you didn’t bump into Jane Fonda,too!!!
Over the Top,Tone….I am a 23 yr Retired Navy Vet..who resided around Ft.Lewis/McChord AFB and SEA-TAC…hmmm
Before you judge, I’ll go around and pick up any restaurant that gives out free to go food. All around my city. But ill go to homeless shelters and homeless people on the streets and drop off the food. Yea ill keep one meal or two, like the wings, but like a free pizza from different Little Caesars locations and donuts; I’ll drop off that food. I make it a whole day thing.
That is so awesome of you to do that John Smith! I’m sure they are very thankful to see you!!
Great job by you!
Holy smokes!
That’s GREAT!
I used to be “homeless” a time or two, myself. All kinds of offered “helps”, gifts, and whatever else were ALWAYS appreciated.
Some of those “homeless shelters” do not always feed the greatest of quality food, and some do not even feed very much. Therefore, anything like you are doing – is definitely going to help brighten some lives.
Good of you, Brother!
– JSSmith
I was born on a mountain raised in a cave dunken donuts is not what I crave although a great steak from Texas Roadhouse I do !! For the past 3 or4 years the great folks at Texas road house has been providing me with a great steak with all the trimmings (for what I do crave) they do it right! Or they don’t do it (sounds like k.f.c. com.) Anyway if I was giving out good conduct medals Texas road house would be first to receive one. I also want to thank all the businesses that participate in honoring us. (Veterans of conflicts of here and abroad) Thanks for making Veterans Day special. I am a 2 tour Vietnam veteran that was spit at the airport in California upon my return from my first tour. That has stayed with me for 50 years. I love our country and was proud to serve as my father did.
Thank you for your valuable service. God keep you safe and healthy
Thank you.
Thanks for the meals for veterans
Thank you!!!! For all the information. Greatly appreciated.
If we’re throwing Zoo’s in there. Pretty sure Pittsburgh Zoo is free year round for vet’s.
Excellent information, thank you!
Thanks, appreciate this information
It took a great deal of work to produce this list. Thank you for the information! It is greatly appreciated.
Thanks to those who served and to those businesses that favorably recognize Veterans. It wasn’t always like this.
Proud Veteran
US Army 18th Airborne Corp

Thank you for all you do for the Veterans DAILY and thank you for all the information, on what’s going on and what’s available, on VETERANS DAY.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Love this list, thank you so much.
You notice Walmart that profited during the shut down never does and they will ask you to donate during checking out so they will benefit from the free donations for the one that are dumb enough to do it
Did anyone notice not one oil company
(With record profits) jumped in to say thanks?
They have to have record profits to be able to offset the cost of record inflation!
Thank you for compiling this list and these are the businesses we should all support year round!!!
Spot on my brother…..
well said…!
Who wants to drink OIL ??? Ill stick to food !!!
thank you for all these offers for our veterans and all serving. thank all veterans for keeping us safe….
Thank you, this information is very useful to me. I thank all the establishments for their participation of acknowledgement in graditute to all veterans.
AmericanForcesTravel.com is a total scam. It pretends to be a discount travel program and even checks your status against the DEERS system, but the prices are no lower than those offered on other travel websites like Agoda.
Does Longhorn believe they’re special?
Thanks for composing this list!!!
My question would be why; do you feel they’re obligated to serve veterans in some way just because their name isn’t appearing on this list?
this is an incredible thank you to all veterans. i’ll be eating and drinking for free all day on our day. thank you.
Thanks for the hospitality and generousity of the businesses that are participating in this great show of support for those of us who were in the armed forces when we were needed. It’s nice to know that someone cared enough to put together this great program in the United States of America. Our “helmets” are off to honor all of you who have chosen to do this for us.
Thank you to ALL businesses honoring our veterans on this very special day.
I don’t see Panera on the long list of businesses honoring our veterans. Why?
Thank You for the exhaustive list of places to go. Good Job.
Thank you to ALL those who helped make this list available and those whose business names appear in the list.
Thank you to ALL those who helped make this list available and those whose business names appear in the list. I sincerely appreciate your
efforts, kindness, and thoughtfulness.
Thanks to everyone involved with honoring All Veterans, being a Vietnam Era Veteran America has come a long way
Thanks for the nice offers.
Thanks to all who participate in Veterans day discounts and enjoy your Freedom because of the Veterans
Since you are reading this thank a Teacher, since it’s in English thank a Veteran
THANK YOU to All that put this list together! It’s awesome that these businesses recognize our services as Veterans to this country and offer discounts / free complimentary items. One more reason to be proud to serve and remember those in uniform.
Thanks for creating this list. Viet Nam era vet.
What does a widow survivor have to show in order to get a deal. Seems like we’re forgotten…. Covid got him and not a bullet.
Sorry, Debra but this is Veteran’s Day not widows day. Sorry for your loss but none of us get these offerings after we are gone. These businesses are great for offering those of us who served, but can not stay in business if they give to everyone connected to a veteran. Again, sorry that you lost your veteran.
Yet the notification LISTS SURVIVORS. I appreciate E VERY Veterans service. Please remember that we survivors of those lost during or many years after VN due to agent orange served the military, both the military AND the
veteran and suffered a great loss.
If your late husband was retired then your retired spouse id would be all you’d need unless there was a place specifically saying “active duty military”. Sorry for yoyr loss.
I am not owed ANYTHING for my service……. I’m just grateful for the generosity of these businesses. THANK YOU, it’s much appreciated.
Woohoo! Caribou Coffee- way to go with the small coffee offering. Gee I’ll drive right over for that little gesture…..not.
Thank you for info
Lowes in Norwich, NY. No longer offer Veterans Discounts on certain Items or goods, due shortages & non availability on certain them. Corporate states it is losing money.
Then take your business to Home Depot where you can get the discount you’d normally get from there or Menards! It’s a little more work to get it because you do it all online, but it’ll send a message to Lowe’s when they start even losing more money when Veterans start taking their business elsewhere. I bet you see those discounts come back in a hurry because their pricing is outrageous to begin with! Either that, or go to Menards if one is in your area, either way, send a message to Lowe’s that YOU the customer, the Veteran, dictate policy, and if they’re going to hurt your pocket, your going to hurt their bottom line!
Thanks for the list – every year, I re-post it on Facebook for my fellow Vets!
The Academy of Hair Design, a beauty school in Springfield, Missouri ( Located in: Plaza Shopping Center, 1834 S Glenstone Ave, Springfield, MO 65804)
offers free haircuts, one a month, for anyone with a valid military ID…
That is everyone…except jarheads; those will be considered on an ‘individual’ basis!
{Required legal statement:} No jarheads were injured in their slight ‘poke’ at the end of this posting!
Thank you for posting this
Thank you to the V.A. and all of the supporting businesses! As a disabled, service-connected vet, I’m thankful for the things all of you do to support all of us.
Thank you for recognizing my brothers and sisters sacrifices made for our freedoms.
Outstanding
Wow, Thank you for this. I had no idea. God bless all these contributors.
Many thanks for remembering those that served.
Thanks a bunch. This list is perfect. I really appreciate whoever composed and worked so hard to get it out to me and the other vets. Much love
Dickey’s BBQ should be ashamed to be listed here, as they offer 5 sandwiches, and only 5 sandwiches for their Veterans Day promotion. I called them out on this last year and got no response.
That’s awesome that some retailers do this, but unfortunately Dublin has very few choices, considering, Veterans Administration is located right here!
Time consuming to find a participating location near me. Not worth the effort. Should be done by State and zip code.
Really?
State and zip code?
Not sure where you live, but just in my city much less state…there are 10 zip codes…. Multiply that 1 city by 50… That is over 500… Seriously…. If you scrolled further the list does denote states…others were broader because heaven forbid a company is in more than 1 zip code… I agree with a few other posts…. You think you are deserving of the world…this list has grown year after year..plenty of time for you to get a degree in coding and offer your help programming what you think is a simple task…
Thank you.
Good Lord
People will bitch just to bitch…
“Here’s some free food and a thank you”
Not good enough
“Why isn’t XYZ giving us free food”
Why SHOULD they? Ask them for a meal they’ll probably give you one if you are in need
“My service was more important than yours, you don’t deserve a free meal”
We all are/were on the same team
Seriously people get a life! Y’all sound like a bunch of politicians!
That depends; which branch of the service were in specifically? Lol!
GOD bless the merchants who have taken the effort, time and profits to honor our Veterans and Active Service Representatives this Veterans Day (2022).
Thank you for the above valuable information.
I took some effort and is sincerely appreciated.
Thank you fort posting this info.
All this free stuff aside, I just like walking in the oldest Veterans Parade in the US. Love to see all the people who really Love us for what we went through.
Henry 5th SFGA, Vietnam 70-71-72
Fleet Farm is offering a 10% discount to veterans.
Thank You to all who served and to the others and families who supported them ! Want to say thanks to all these businesses for giving back and respecting our vets. I didn’t use to go get these freebies but do now that i am older, I often take someone and buy something as well plus I usually return to give these businesses my business on a regular basis in appreciation so it is not just good PR but they can get more business in return !
I really appreciate the people who put together this list and update it Thanks!
Look forward to my free donut every year. Nam Vet ’69
Thanks to all the businesses supporting our Miliary Veterans each year. It means a lot to all of us who served. It is good for those of us who are still able to get around but those who are home bound or in a facility cannot participate. Remember them, they are veterans also.
Thank you, Retired US ARMY Warrant Officer
I don’t know about y’all, but i didn’t stay in 20 years for a discount. I did it for my country. I am just grateful that a lot of places will recognize our service, and offer a discount. This is a big list of places that are giving discounts and free food. Thanks for putting the list together!
Hearing all the peacetime vets(and wartime, I don’t give a sht) b-tch and complain on this thread is making my blood boil. No, nobody owes you a fcking thing. No, the fact that people aren’t speaking Korean, German Italian or whatever the f-ck, because brave service members died for that, does not ENTITLE you to an ounce of respect. If people CHOOSE to offer that respect, you should be humbled and grateful. To serve SHOULD have been a privilege. And a SERVICE. A service is something to be done with humility. You served the people of this nation, because it is simply required for our existence to continue. You aren’t special, you aren’t a protected class. If your ego can’t handle that, take a long look in the mirror. Half of y’all were sh-tbags and POGs anyway. I don’t give a sh-t if that makes you mad either. Also find it funny that half of the ones complaining sound like they have a vocabulary of a 1st grader. It speaks to your lack of intelligence. If you served with honor, I salute you as a brother. Don’t tarnish that service by being an entitled b-tch.

https://usvets.org/how-we-serve/mental-health-and-wellness/
Italian? Really? What, were we in danger somewhere along the line of Mousseline invading us? You’re speaking to everyone whose complaining lack of intelligence while coming off as a racist; very smooth move for a jarhead all things considered. Are you and your mother brother and sister somehow? And what would a Marine from 2012-2018 know about brave servicemen dying for their country, humility, and respect anyhow. How many in-country tours did you do son? I’m sorry son, I’m hearing crickets could you speak up please?
Many Thanks and grateful for your information sharing!
Amen 66 to 72 USMC
It is easy to spot the ones who really get it, who understands the oath we took means something to us, if not them!
Many thanks to those who share with us.
Nice. Great clips told me they don’t have any military discounts on Veterans Day. Wasted $25 today.
Whoever told you that wasn’t informed. It’s corporate determiniation.
To all you wonderful Patriots who offer up their goods and services to us Veterans… Thank you for being Americans worth fighting for!!!
Mark, it’s not until the 11th. Buy a $5 calendar for 2023 and save $20.
How about the WWII Museum in New Orleans?
?u army vet
Thanks ?
I believe that Tractor Supply Company offers a 10% dicount on your order on Veterans Day.
OMG, if you are not a vegetarian and you have one of these near you, I highly recommend it. Half off for us vets and 10% off for several guests.
https://fogodechao.com/
Thank you, I appreciate it very much.
Grateful for the information Thank You
Dunkin Donuts… ONE ??? Donut??? No Coffee? WOW! Big thanks to everyone else! WOW!
In fairness, they don’t have to give us anything. At least they choose to give something. We should be grateful for that
come to wichita ks I will give it all to you for free
I read 1 donut one coffee
Just be thankful and appreciative for the donut and move on (you can always ask for a cup of water).
I agree.. DD can keep their Freakin donut!
Dunkin – sorry no coffee for Dunkin your dough nut.
why I like krispy kreme get doughnut and coffee, I don’t think we have a Dunkin around here.
You fat bastard you don’t need more than one
No coffee for you!!! Why give me a doughnut for dunkin’ without something to dunk it in??
Don’t like it? don’t go. They are doing something even though they don’t have to!
some of theses idiots would gripe if they were hung with a new rope
Hers is what I will say about DD, they do not care about veterans, they only see this as an opportunity to make money off of veterans, This is the reason they only want to give you “ONE” donut and no coffee. They think, if they offer you the “ONE” donut, you will purchase that coffee, which by the way is very nasty. Just look at who owns most of these DD shops. They have no incentives to show appreciation for the US veterans, or any veterans for that matter. I would not not take them up on that offer! They suck.
Sincerely, US veteran of 6 years! Thanks my veteran brother, for your service!
WOW is right…..about your comment. Instead of saying thank you for at least participating, you criticize them. Think of all the businesses that aren’t giving any discount. Be grateful for something because they didn’t have to do anything at all.
that was rude philip. be greatful for the effort.
Thank you for the information. It’s always a pleasure to attend a facility recognizing the sacrifices a Veteran and their families have made.
My family and thank you for this. I never dreamed this would happen .
Thank you so much for the collection above
Great information. Thank you for putting this together.
Thank you to all participating businesses
Veteran….It’s not that I can and other’s can’t, it’s that I did and other’s didn’t. Drafted 7/3/69….Proud to be an Army veteran!!!! Thanks to all that honor our veterans!!!!
SGT. 54th MP company
54th MP Company?
Was it part of 504th MP Battalion back then too?
I was part of 504th MP BN, and I think 54 MP company (let’s just say I was in a couple of the companies) from 504th)
Just curious.
Wow..
Thank YOU, Sonny.
Rudy Drafted 23 July 1968.
Drafted here too. March of 69.
I like what you wrote.
Me too Sonny S. I’m Robert Y and was Drafted 11/19/65..Proud to be an Army veteran!!!!
Thanks to all who served and thank you merchants for supporting them.
Anybody know of any discounted funeral homes? My Agent Orange exposure in Viet Nam will soon have me in need of such services! Thanks USA!
Donate your body to a local medical school. They need you as much as Uncle Sam did…and burial is free.
VA will set you up for free service. They did my father-n-law and it was real nice. Check with them. Best of luck brother.
Check with your local funeral home. Last year when I made my husband’s arrangement here in Georgia our local funeral home gave me Military discount. It was very nice of them. I was the military member.
Most state Veterans cemeteries provide free burial services if you have an honorable discharge.
Terry – I don’t know if the reply I started was sent or if I accidentally deleted. Look up VA National Cemetery Administration on line for more info. Also, if they have your DD 214, your funeral home can often make the application for your Veterans’ Burial Benefits to pay for things.
Some (I know the Boise ID and Palo Alto CA ones do) VA Hospitals regularly conduct legal clinics to help Veterans prepare wills, etc. These are vital documents, especially if you have a surviving spouse or surviving children. You can also contact your local American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, or (if you were wounded) Military Order of the Purple Heart organizations – they have people who can help you (you don’t have to be a member). I’m a draftee also from 1968 and served in the ‘Nam. Best wishes.
Visit https://www.veteransfuneralhomes.com/
Also I will reach out to a couple of industry contacts for other ideas.
Lombardo’s restaurant on Niagara falls blvd amherst,ny ask for joe lombardo
Have you applied for VA benefits? If not, you should, I got great assistance in applying for benefits thru the American Legion. Go to a local American Legion Post and ask if they have a Veterans Service Officer (VSO). The VSO can help. Also believe Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) posts also offer help as does the Disabled Veterans Association (DAV). Good Luck, I have Diabetes from Agent Orange Exposure and other disability ratings. Get help getting what you deserve.
I am so very sorry. My husband has issues from the Gulf War.
Please know that the gift of my freedom is the most cherished gift of all. I will never forget what you’ve done for me and for our country. Thank You!!! I pray that God bless your medicine and guide your healers. Lisa
Very kind and thoughtful comments, Lisa. I am sorry your husband has issues from the Gulf War, and I am grateful for his service. I hope he knows he is a very lucky man, to have a wife as grace-full and compassionate as you. Your remarks give us all hope.
you should have veteran Funeral benefits and eligible for national cemeteries. also agent orange exposure benefits automatic for applying
You should have a veteran’s benefit for funeral/burial services. Go to this link: https://www.va.gov/burials-memorials/ God’s blessings to you! Thank you for your service!
the VA will take care of your funeral.
Just be sure to have DD214
did you check with VA about expenses?
Terry …. Unfortunately, I don’t think you’ll find any discounted funeral homes? My Agent Orange exposure in Viet Nam is in full bloom also. (Jun 66-Jun67 US Army)
It would be nice to have a printable list of restaurants etc. that are giving to the veterans. without all the comments
You can go to the following link for military.com and their list is laid out in a way that it can easily be copied and pasted into a word doc.

This is an awesome list that someone spent a large amount of time creating, it is much appreciated. To all the businesses who so graciously are offering services and products to those of us who have served, we are honored that you are willing to share and will not take it for granted. For those who feel entitled, you will never be pleased even if everything in life was given to you for free. Except for the Nam Vets who in most cases had no choice (I volunteered), the rest VOLUTARILY joined to serve our country and preserve our way of life. I doubt anyone one can say they served to get “free stuff” later as a veteran. As has been said, the real heroes are those who lost the most (life and/or limb) and I would gladly forgo receiving any of these offers if they could be made whole again. In a world that is becoming more and more “entitled”, we once again need to step up, raise our heads high and lead them back down the path of honor, integrity and sacrifice. If that sounds too righteous, I’ll put it in an easier to understand sentence. “If you can’t say something nice, keep your mouth shut.” –Stepping off soapbox– USN Retired
Jeff,
Well said…..Thank you for putting it into words.
Don USN Corpsman…1966-1970
My brief comments are simple reminders that the chosen few, (the REAL ENTITLED) that did not serve our Great Nation at a time of military conflict(s)…should be the, “ONLY” ones given such a disgraceful title and not our fellow brothers and sisters that served with us whether draftees or volunteers. As veterans—lets leave all the name calling for those who never served. I salute ALL of the veterans who served and those still defending our country! To all the businesses large or small, sincerely, thank-you! U.S. Army retired.
I could not have said it any better. When I enlisted in the Army during the Viet Nam War, I was sent to Germany for three years. I came home and at JFK, I had to walk the line. I never shot at any one but I was truly belittled for my service. That only reinforced my pride in my Country and made me want to help others… which I have done the past 54 years…. and will continue doing as long as I can. Thank You for what you said and Thank You for your service.
Nicely said, AMEN!
Very nice words Jeff. We should all be GRATEFUL for the businesses that are doing this! They don’t have, but they do! And they do so to thank us! I wish more of the veteran’s commenting would show their gratitude!!!!!!!
Wonderful statement! Very true and to the point!
I’m a Vietnam and Desert Storm veteran. Live in Sandpoint Id. Never was offered a discount. Never expected one. Did my job, did my duty. Would be nice to be thanked for it though. Still working through it. Thank you for your service all you guys and gals. We did what we had to do. Love you all. It is our country and we did what our country thought was right. I’m broke/busted (not money) body. Still here and love America.
Best wishes back at you from Hagerman Idaho – Vietnam Veteran here.
Chris,
Thank you for your service. If you have a Dennys in town check it out.
Bill
Did two tours to Nam.
THANK YOU FOR CREATING THIS LIST . A BIG HELP IN GETTING THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT ALL VETERANS DESERVE !
Dollar General is offering a 20% discount from November 10-13, 2022 to veterans, active-duty military, National Guard and Reserve and their immediate family members. The Veterans Day promotion joins DG’s ongoing 11% discount to military communities and their immediate families, which is offered the second Wednesday each month of the year. To become eligible, customers should first complete a military credential verification process online at dollargeneral.com/military and then add the discount as a DG Digital Coupon.
Thank you for the information.
Ty! :). Didn’t know we get the 11% or when. Ty for your support! ?
Is Walmart, BJS having any specials? thankyou, for a well organized platform.
Thank all of those businesses for their thoughtfulness.
Thanks fir tge info
I don’t know about others, but I find out what the value of the meal is, and leave a tip based on meals value.
You definitely need to still tip your servers etc. They work for like $4-5/hr because they get tips and hardly anyone leaves them what they deserve. Remember that when your eating your FREE meals.
tipping is how serverse make their pay. Good post Wayne!!
Such a generous gift. Thank you
Highly recommended your DD214 ASN picure ID be produced as proof of your service.
Too ALL Vet’s THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AND SACRIFICE
not everyone received those. I was discharged in 1981 and they didn’t have those
Does your state offer it on your drivers license? That’s how I proved I was a veteran.
[Editor: All 50 states offer this.]
I got out in ’88 and got my DD214 through an online request. Go to VA.GOV and sign up for an account, then go to documents and request it.
You can also get a VA card don’t need to have service connected disability for it
Everyone should have received a DD-214 upon discharge. I got out i n 1971 and have my
dd-214. You can submit a SF-186 I believe and get one.
Ohio each county has a Veteran support center. You can get a photo which is a state ID. Has your dates of service plus your discharge date.
This is an awesome site.
Thanks for compiling such a comprehensive list of discount opportunities that support us Veteran’s. It’s so nice to see the efforts of the community open their hearts and their businesses to recognize the many sacrifices made to extend the freedoms of the citizens of these United States of America. God bless you and may God continue to Bless America!
T C Madden, Major (Ret) US Army
Thanks to all my brothers and sisters who have served, but a bigger thank you goes to the families, friends, and businesses like these that continue to support all those that serve! I appreciate all of you!
Many thanks to Home Depot and Lowes for their ten percent discount on any and all purchases all year long 24/7, 365. Can’t thank you enough!!
It’s not on any and all items.
Jeff, HD discounts just about everything if you order online! Walking into the store and expecting a discount is tough, to your point. Best wishes my friend.
Yes, and at Home Depot there is an annual limit. Not sure about Lowe’s.
Oh, forgot to add that Home Depot is now honoring the discount to online purchases. That is relatively new.
In honor of Veterans Day, and to thank veterans, active-duty military and reservists for their service, Red Lobster is offering guests a free Walt’s Favorite Shrimp, Fries, and Coleslaw, featuring six hand-breaded, butterflied and lightly fried shrimp, served with cocktail sauce, as well as crispy French Fries and Coleslaw.
The offer is available for dine-in and To Go orders placed in-restaurant* between 11:00am and 4:00pm local time on Friday, November 11, 2022. Guests only need to show a valid military ID or proof of service to redeem this offer.
[Editor: Confirmed and added. Thanks.]
The California Pizza Kitchen free meal is only on the 11th (per their website), and the fundraiser for disabled vets is from the 7th thru 9th.
Thank you! Thank you for remembering the active duty members, veterans and families. ♥️
Per the website a Commemoration Ceremony and Feed the Troops event “In commemoration of Veterans Day, all veterans, active-duty military, reserve, and National Guard servicemembers are invited to attend Feed the Troops, where all in attendance will be treated to lunch, a Victory Belles performance, and remarks from other special guests.”

I do boycut Mcdonald for years
I’ve missed you Mario! Please come back!
You win the internet! LOL
LMAO! Made my night!
McDonalds doesn’t recognize boycotts unless you present valid evidence of veteran status.
10% of Ammunition at InteliChoice1 Arms
This is a good start! Thank you so much from Viet Nam Vets like me!
A good start? wtf
Thank you very much
Viet Nam 2-67 to 3-68
Jimmy
Flanigan’s gives police and first responders discounts year around, but nothing for those who provide a country for them. Davie, Florida
I’m sorry, I forgot to thank the rest of you for your patronage.
Thank you for all your work and all the Business that participate in these activity. Grateful to have y’all support.
Thank you to all of the businesses who support veterans – those who are compiled here and those who aren’t on the list. Shout out to Lowe’s and Home Depot as well!
I also appreciate whoever put in the time to create this list – awesome work.
To those who feel the need to complain – you chose to serve, a selfless act. Don’t tarnish it by making demands and feeling slighted by anybody who doesn’t give you discounts. You do us all a disservice when you act entitled, please have some humility.
Thanks for saying this. I couldn’t agree more
Very well said Jordan
Well said!!! Lowes always has done well with the discount year round. Great company. Lil know is that Advance Auto and Autozone also offer a %10 discount year round for Vets and service members. Shout out to them as well for being big supporters.
Shame on all who complain. You’ve seen how bad it is elsewhere in the world. Why would you even begin to complain?
Thank you for your comment. I couldn’t have said it better. Thank you for your service!
U. S. 7th Army in Germany during Berlin Wall Crisis 1960-1962.
Diddo as well, with lowes being closest to me its awesome to hear a thankyou in addition to a discount. it goes a long way. thank you from one veteran to another for your services and to those that gave all may your souls rest in eternal peace.
I think it is fitting and proper for all military both active and non active receive a special recognition for their honorable and selfless service to this great Country.
Dunkin Donuts should be ashamed of itself offering just a donut on veterans day, what a joke
Maybe they should offer complainers nothing
Good one Cat!
Amazing how many freeloaders don’t recognize benevolence costs the benefactor and then gripe because it’s “just a donut!”
Good grief! What about nothing? Would you prefer that better?
I agree!!! Beats the hell out of just getting the donut hole!
“You’ll get nothing, and like it!!”
Thank you Sir, may I have another…
Amen to that
Thank you to all businesses honoring VETERANS, it is very much appreciated. I have visited Denny’s and Apple bees over the years and met many brothers and sisters to share our stories. Thanks again for showing your appreciation for our service.
A whole lot of yall complainers should be EXTREMELY EMBARRASSED. These corporations don’t owe you jack! This is a “out of the kindness of our heart” gift. You fools complaining that they don’t have vegan, kosher, gluten free, double cheese burgers with a 15 minute ramble of how thankful the whole place is because you did two years in the marine corps. I am CRINGING reading yalls comments. Holy crap, get over yourselves. If it ain’t on the menu, pay for it. They have their own families to feed, mortgages to pay, and employees to pay. Quit crying ya buncha entitled brats.
Well said !
I’m not complaining about the one’s that don’t offer anything, BUT they should realize, and so should you, that if it were not for the military they would be speaking a different language and WOULDN’T be able to own their business as the government would own everything. Have or did you look at it from that point of view?
I’m a veteran and I don’t expect zip from any of these companies.
Way to be a jerk. There are many Vets that bled, lost limbs and face mental problems, because they served for you. We don’t want your sympathy just a little Respect and a Thank You would be nice. Just hope that you never need the Active Military or the National Guard to help you and they are not there. Have a blessed day.
I see now that you don’t have the guts to use your own name, too funny
Thank you very much will use some
Thank you for all this wonderful info.
good stuff good job. thanks to all
Your VA medical card counts for identification purposes at most places.
Given the number of veterans in some locations in America, voucher options may be a great idea to avoid a flood of veterans at these locations on November 11.
Heads Up to all my brothers and sisters in arms, always ask a business if they give a military discount, a senior citizen discount, and if you are a member, an AARP, AAA, USAA, or any other national group discount all the time. Make sure you ask your cable provider, your cell phone provider, and your utilities to name a few. if they give it, you get it.
The company I work for, Zero Surge Inc., offers all veterans and active military personnel an additional 10% discount on our already discounted factory store items. We are a U.S. manufacturer of surge protectors that do not wear out or degrade and will increase the life of your sensitive electronics. Here is a link to our website with the discount information: https://zerosurge.com/military-veterans-discount/. Thank you to all who served and are serving today!
Applebee’s my favorite. They’ve been doing it a long time. The meals offered are great. Better yet, you can eat at the bar. I hope to get a seat there and rub elbows with another unaccompanied Vet (or two) and get their story – a little comradery is the best part. (AF, Pleiku/Danang, 71/72)
I was at Danang and Siagon in 72 with 20th tass in weapons
Some Temecula, California wineries give big discounts on wine tasting cards for veterans, with ID.
I was paging through to see how far I would need to drive and noticed a number of restaurants that ONLY give a free meal or discount to active duty or retired – war Veterans, like myself, are excluded. I and all the other Veterans that served in war zones and were lucky enough to come back alive won’t forget the slight.
I’m not sure what you were looking at, specifically, but the majority of the ones I saw were for veterans and active duty. All a veteran needs is a copy of their DD214. They don’t have to be retired in order to qualify.
I saw several also that said active duty or retired, no mention of veterans. Cici’s is one I believe.
For Kentucky Veterans, it’s on their drivers license.
Also on Idaho licenses – just have to ask to have it put on. Suspect a LOT of states do that now. Thank YOU.
I’m gonna guess if you showed a DD-214 and a driver license or photo ID, you won’t be refused.
I’m sure you are right Mike because my daughter who is an Iraq war vet served 6 years and that’s what she does
I’m going to guess that most (not all) of today’s wait staff would not recognize what a DD214 is or what it means.
Doubtful it’s a “slight “ but yes I’ve seen discounts before that only pertained to active or retired…BIG DEAL…I didn’t serve my country for a free cheeseburger nor have I ever expected a handout. BTW if you want a meal I’ll buy you one… Thanks for your service!
Most offers are very generous and am not asked for proof generally, those that served but not retired Military or Active Duty are treated the same in my experience. I think Vets have a look about them and the employees at places offering free meals go out of the way to show appreciation. Any business that is willing to offer such a generous recognition year after year such as Applebee’s and others have their hearts in the right place. If you have access to a Texas Roadhouse restaurant, they actually pass out certificates for a free meal to be used on Veterans Day or later.
Most are offering to Active and Veterans
You can also show your VA ID. My husband is retired and I am a 3 year active veteran and i also get the freebies. If you do not have a VA ID you need to sign up and get one. Happy Veterans Day! And yes your honorably discharged DD214 wil work. A Veteran is a Veteran…
Thanks to all these folks .
I wanted to add that the free pulled pork sandwich available at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit can be ordered online to skip the line. Any veteran can simply use the promo code VETFREE at checkout.
I am a vet with loss of transportation because of the backorder thing. However I for one think that all who participate making their business available at Nov 11th showed a Big thank you. THANK YOU !!
I would like to thank all business for they support of our VETS 282 ASH Vietnam
Thank you to all who honor our veterans on this special day. god Bless all of you.
Al K in wv
Thanks you all the support.from the communities for the many prayers, send a n single red rose to the families whose love one didn’t make it home!
Your Chick-fil-A link goes to Chili’s web site. Someone already commented about it and I see it’s not fixed yet? Is this deliberate or something? Should be easy to fix. Here, I[‘ll even help you: https://www.chick-fil-a.com/
[Editor: Fixed. Thanks.]
I spent 20 years on active duty watching thousands of slackers come and go. Now I hear some who’ve spent a few years in uniform bitching about only getting a free donut.
IMO unless you have a VA disability rating above 50, or a combat campaign ribbon, or a combat medal, or are retired after 20 or more, get your slacker ass to the back of the line and be thankful someone cares enough to recognize you for the little effort you gave.
Trust me, the further we get from being in a war the less you will be honored.
Wish I could LIKE this
Too many freeloaders these days.
Spot on Brian – We try to get these loosers to join the local American Legion Post and do great things for Veterans and the community. Voluntering is beyond comprehension for these entitled aholes.
…the beatings will continue until morale improves!
Right on Brian!
Ungrateful bastages complaining over donuts and BS. Put your uniform back on and transport yourself to Russia, then see how far you get! Maybe Putin will give you a donut! ? lol
I didn’t realize the VA ONLY existed for those that served over 20 years with a 50% disability.I am aware that the VA groups veterans by needs and incomes
I didn’t realize the VA only existed to serve 20 year 50% disabled troops. So my 3 year enlistment in 1970 was irrelevant ? I’m glad I didn’t serve with a self centered fellow like you.Let me get out of line so you can get your free donut quicker. Thanks for YOUR service. But no thanks to anyone who did less than Brian?
Black Angus Steakhouse is actually offering a FREE meal this year. https://www.militarybridge.com/blog/2022/10/31/1977/in-honor-of-veterans-day-black-angus-steakhouse-salutes-active-duty-military-and-veterans-with-a-free-meal/
Why is McDonald’s not doing anything for veterans 2022 ? I guess they could care less about the people that served their country so they could have the business that they have ??
If you care about your health and dislike eating garbage, t’s probably best we don’t go there.
Coming from a real winner i imagine.Bet you have zero friends
The real heroes are our sisters and brothers who didn’t make it home. Thank you everyone who participates for remembering the rest of us!
Thank you participating vendors for showing kindness even for this one day.
US ARMY 3/11 BLACK HORSE CALVARY.
…er, Cavalry, right, sir?
I personally would like to thank all the merchants, for their appreciation to all the Veterans pass and present. We fought and Served our country for the better of mankind.
I learned many years ago to ask if a business offers a military discount if I didn’t know. I ate lunch with a group of my military peers. My fellow soldiers wished that I had been first in line, not last in line, at register when I asked manager whether a discount was offered. He replied, “I don’t think anyone has ever asked before”, and gave me a 25% discount.
I am very thankful for what is offered to us Veterans.
Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mcdonalds should be boycotted for not supporting VETERANS !!!
Would you really want to wait for a free big mac?
At ease! What do you want to get from?
At ease! What do you want to get from?
McDonalds should be boycotted for making everyone fat.
As an honorably discharged Viet Nam era Air Force veteran, I went to the AmericanForcesTravel.com site. I wanted to see what a ticket might cost. I entered the information and the site said I wasn’t qualified. All they list is who they serve (honorably discharged veterans) and some DoD PDFs, but no place to provide information to register.
So sad.
Does anyone know for sure about Red Robin. Earlier quote says they are not honoring the Free Burger and Fries posted in this notice from 11/1-14
[Editor: Updated!]
Looks like Veteran’s Day only. Very nice of all the generous restaurants.
Jim, for the last couple of years in WI, they have.
Yes they are. Double burger and fries, dine in only
So what.. why do they have to
I want to thank those who extended a full meal, haircut, or service. We gave 100% also.
These veteran meals are a joke….we can have free or discounted meals but only certain ones….we didn’t put any conditions or demands when we signed on the dotted line for the blank check of our lives when we enlisted….another year that I’ll never use them….I’d rather pay!!
Ten you go ahead and pay if it makes you feel better
I’m sorry, but that is so funny!! :D :D
Mike,
They aren’t required to participate and keep in mind a lot of these companies are having a hard time with having enough staff, food, etc. We should be appreciative to any business that offers discounts to veterans.
If they are having a hard time then don’t do it.
Some of us don’t like the attention and prefer not to stand out – behavior like this makes us all look like fools. Some people feel entitled and they whine and throw a fit because their FREE food isn’t good enough for them. I, for one, did not serve so I can get whatever I want for free.
Our service agreement was with the military, not private businesses. Businesses owe us nothing but I appreciate the ones that do.
Be thankful you get anything free. No one owes you anything. Ungrateful people make the rest of us veterans look like leeches.
Probably Air Force wanting a free steak or lobster.
Dang! I guess I missed out on that bonus . When I signed they didn’t tell me anything about free meals outside of the chow hall . I’m writing my congressman right now . DENNYS (meal) BEFORE DUTY !
And the beatings will continue until morale improves…
Lolololololololololol
Weren’t the conditions and demands the pay and benefits? You should not blame corporations for not valuing what your experience was when the nation the corporations reside in was the cause of your experiences. Blame the government and the nation as a whole at that point.
O’Reilly’s auto parts stores offer a veterans discount all year. Simply ask!
and what do you do when you live in ELY MN ?
I don’t know. What DO you do when you live in Ely MN?
LOL. Umm…pardon me.
Thank you for the information. Publix has in the past given 10 percent off on your basket purchase.
very good need more participants…
Some of you would complain on your way to heaven with a mouth full of chocolate pudding! You are not entitled to these “GIFTS” and it is not a right!
And don’t ruin it for everyone by ordering a meal, then asking for it to go! Have some dignity and class and don’t take advantage of these generous offers.
Ken, you obviously didn’t serve in battle.
Randall, you obviously don’t know squat about me. Yes, I served in the first gulf war…and what the hell does that have to do with my comment? Nothing! My comment was to tell the whiners to shut up. The comment to those who order to go are for the greedy A-Holes who drive around town getting free meals from dozens of generous establishments and had NOTHING to do with folks like Susan’s husband (my apologies to you).
My husband and I are both disabled vets. He was in bad shape and didn’t like for people watching him try to eat. Our local Olive Garden would give us the meals “to go”, I would bring the food home and we would enjoy a restaurant meal, talk and have a great time. Please don’t judge those who ask for something a bit different. These are your brothers and sisters at arms and probably have a good reason. I just wish we could share one more at home, near the fire, with his dog at his side. Now the dog just puts up with me. Thanks to all who share with us, often year round.
I never judge another vet!!!
Here’s just one reason why:
One day I was talking to another disabled vet before a church meeting & he was telling me about his recent C & P exam as a retired college professor walked by.
The professor said “you guys don’t look disabled to me“ and walked off.
Neither one of us said anything to him, because It wasn’t worth it and he’s not a veteran.
What the prof did not know is that my friend was in a vehicle hit by a roadside bomb in Iraq & teammates died. He had his shoulder shattered and had several operations before he had to have his shoulder replaced which left him with pain and limited mobility. Add to that his PTSD & guilt.
So I followed the professor into the meeting and sat next to him and handed him my phone that had a note on it which said:
“A veteran is someone, who when they were young, wrote a blank check to the people of the United States for an amount up to and including their life.“
I then said to him “don’t ever make a comment about a veteran’s disabilities. You have no idea what Bob has gone through.”
He was man enough to say “I apologize.”
So, if a veteran needs a take-home meal, I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and say there’s a good reason why and that reason is probably attached to his service to our country, like mine is.
BTW, there’s days that I also don’t leave the house because I’m in a state of mind where I don’t want to get triggered by being around people.
God Bless ????
Really? How in the heck is a vet to find a place near them? It looks like we have to open every one of the locations to find where they are located. Did you ever consider listing them by state, or county so that the list is actually useful?
I know the effort is being made but this is really not very helpful.
The list would be far too long.
Yeah. 99% of these places I have never heard of
Just so I’m clear, you’re complaining that free meals aren’t enough, you want a personalized format of all the gifts being offered? Are you really that lazy?
Do you have any idea how many of these chain restaurants are in hundreds of cities? They have this new, crazy invention …. it’s called the Internet, even a useful site known as Google.com that can help the seemingly helpless – help themselves.
Too much work? then go back to watching Judge Judy and pipe down. If I wanted any crap from you, I’d squeeze your head.
Is there a way to search by city and state.
Lob the list for vets, active duty, and retired military personnel !
You might want to check out Flannigans which is in the Fort Lauderdale area mainly. Me and a couple of vets wet about three years ago we got top-of-the-line steak for free
Where are the big box Company’s Anazon-Ebay-Lowes-Home Depot-Ford-GM-Shaws-Market Basket???????????????????????????
Free College tution how about no home TAXES for ALL VETERANS.
Home Depot give a 10% discount all year, just show the cashier proof of service, Lowes also give10% all year but requires you to register with them, but it’s not a big deal to register.
Both Home Depot and Lowes have started to exclude certain items from the 10% discount. Lowes no longer discounts lumber.
Give it a rest, trooper.
Texas & other states give breaks on real estate taxes to disabled vets.
Thank you so much for all your input and info. With all this input you still get people who bitch and moan about about every little detail.
USMC and Army 1st Cav (Korea) Vet
Where are are the big box stores?????????????????????????????
Amazon-ebay-Walmart-Market Basket-Shaws-Home Depot- Lowe’s-Ford-Chevy-Honda etc.etc.etc……………………………………………..
Lowes..10% off everything…Home Depot 10% off non sale items only
Home Depot- Lowe’s offer 10% everyday they are open.
Home Depot- Lowe’s offers 10% discount every day of the year. Lows will give you a card to scan. Home Depot you need to show myva or dd214 each time.
Home Depot only gives a discount to veterans three days a year (Veterans Day, Memorial Day, and Independence Day). Also, to get this, you need to register on their website.
Our HD gives 10% every day. I can order online or use the phone app in the store.
Target has 10% you can use two times until Nov. 12; Lowes and Home Depot have 10% discount everyday for us vets
HD has a 10% disc all year for vets/active. need to apply online to get the code on the cell phone app.
Lowe’s always has a 10% military discount. register on their website.
Do you really need a discount for serving
Yes, do you really need to ask?
Serve in any Armed Force and then ask that question again. Until then, zip it.
FYI-Home Depot and Lowes offer 10% off EVERYDAY year round.
Lowes and Home Depot offer 10% off all year long.
Are you aware that Lowes offers a veterans discount each and every day of the year?
And Home Depot offers a veterans discount if you ask.
I am thinking you may be a bit unfair in calling out businesses who have been giving veterans discounts for many, many years, yet they don’t take credit for this in their marketing campaigns.
I know Lowes does military discount all year.
Lowes and HomeDepot already provide 10% all year long to veterans. HomeDepot requires you to register with them and use their phone app, but that is easy.
Greg Warren -Class of 1967 (Fourth and 25th Infantry Divisions)
Where are the big stores? The same place where we disembarked at Oakland…..no where to be found as we were villains. It does surprise me that Walmart would not honor veterans, given that John Walton , now deceased, was a Green Beret medic in Vietnam. Jimmy, some big companies are owned by foreign sources who don’t understand Veteran’s Day, despite the veterans who landed and are buried at Normandy.
Chevy and Ford dealers do give a $500 discount on all new vehicles. You must ask. And be thankful.
I appreciate these vendors in recognizing those that serve this great nation. I personally think that the extension for one day is not enough for someone that put their life on the line. I think these jesters should be done every day. Not just one day. I believe that citizens of this great nation should make sure their government take care those that served.
I know several stores that are not listed that give discounts to the military every day.
There are MANY places that offer a military/veteran discount all year round – Big Box Stores, Hardware Stores, Restaurants, Auto Parts, Grocery stores, Motels, Car Rental, Amusement Parks/Fun Centers are just a few. Every time I stop somewhere, I always ask if they offer a veteran discount at check out. YOU WILL NEVER GET A DISCOUNT THAT YOU DON’T ASK FOR! You will be surprised at how many places offers veteran discounts all year round, most are usually 10% but I have been surprised at 50% off before taxes. Be proud to be a vet and always ask if they have a discount as YOU EARNED IT!

Some already give discounts, but you must ask first. Like Valley Dairy, Chili’s, Applebee’s, many more restaurants.
Thank you to ALL the business that honor us veterans.
Air Force, 73 – 76.
Refine the locations at least by state.
Don’t be so lazy – they gave you a list, do your own homework. It’s free information and gifts.
Hi everyone! I work for Red Robin. The correct offer is one free Red’s Tavern Double with Bottomless Steak Fries for Veterans and Active-Duty Military on Fri., Nov. 11th. This is a dine-in only offer.
The article says this offer is valid from 11/1-11/14 for dine-in and to-go. The actual offer is only valid on 11/11 for dine-in only.
Thank you for your service!
Joanna, that isn’t the way it has worked on previous years. It was good for the entire month of November, last year. I wonder if this varies by region.
The Red Robin in Selma Texas says this offer is only honored for military who are preexisting members of their birthday club.
My previous comment was if you wanted to save the list. You can just type the CTRL F while online to search the document.
Did not see anything in AK.
Menchie’s and Texas Roadhouse in Anchorage were the only places I noticed.
Krispy Kreme donuts.
Buffalo Wild Wings
This is for all veterans. Go to veteransbenefitnetwork.net for help with any benefits that you might deserve. If you were injured in the service physically or mentally get in touch with the DAV. disabled american veterans. They will assist you with any claims for free. You do not have to belong. It is never to late. It could change your life. The VA also provides great healthcare. Don’t forget the GI bill. I got a four year degree out of it. Vets helping vets.
Do we have in Puerto Rico the same oportinity to go some places
Yes you do. Google VA VSO in Puerto Rico
Yes, learn how to use the Google and a ask it.
Si, todos los discuentos, los negocios en la listas que estan en puerto rico honran los discuentos. USAF Vietnam era Vet
Where can I get a free meal in West Los Angeles, and a free haircut?
I haven’t had a haircut since Covid; I am willing to donate my long silver locks… ✂ ?
Thanks for your support!
US Navy?REMF ✌?☮??
You are still a card, Jonathan.
Jon – go to locksoflove.org for information on how to donate your hair to be used for hairpieces for children suffering from cancer, burns, etc.
Thank you for STILL serving!!!!!
If you are using a computer and want to find a specific location/Business. Copy (Ctrl C) and Paste (Ctrl V) the list and then Paste (Ctrl V) into a Blank Word Document. Then Do a (Ctrl F) and type the name of the Local Business’s close to you, one at a time in the search area. It will find it if they are on the list.
[Editor: This works inside the browser, too.]
I never expect anything to be given to me. Every veteran should remember that the real heroes are our brothers and sisters who didn’t make it home. Freedom isn’t free so we should be grateful we are here to accept these discounts.
Doc Nam 67-71
Spot On partner!!
Thanks you all the support.from the communities for the many prayers, send a n single red rose to the families whose love one didn’t make it home!
Thank you for mentioning our brothers that didn’t come home.
I’m so angry at vets complaining that they deserve More. from business’s that participate every year [they dont have to . … pleiku Vietnam 4 inf div . God bless. All
Thank you, Sir. Sound of Reason.
It would be nice if the restaurant listings were by state or region
I WENT TO A RED ROBIN TODAY IN THE TOWN OF HENRIETTA IN ROCHESTER NY NOVEMBER 1st AND WAS REFUSED THE VETERANS MEAL OF A BURGER AND ENDLESS FRIES. THIS SITE SAY NOVEMBER 1st STARTED THE VETERANS MEAL NOV. 1st THRU THE 14 th. THEYT said NO JUST NOV. 11 VETERANS DAY. Who’s right I called their corporate office 6 times COULDN’T GET THROUGH said my call couldn’t be completed as dialed
Hey Jim, Oh Well! A mistake was made.
QUIT YER WHINING. You act like you are entitled. Have some dignity and quit embarrassing the rest of us!
You are the embarrassment. Jim just stated the situation. Relax trooper.
Yeah, IN ALL CAPS. He didn’t just state the situation, he wanted to embarrass Red Robin and more specifically the one in his locale, so YOU relax Trooper. His comment was way out of line and hostile. Reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where Elaine tried to feed the homeless with the muffin bottoms and instead of being grateful, they complained about not having the muffin tops. People like Jim (and you Jack) are going to ruin it for everyone. There’s a reason why signs are everywhere in State Parks that say “Do Not Feed The Bears” because they become dependent, entitled and hostile when you stop!
This site gives out bad advice and has done so for the last several years. Some of us are not very ambulatory and require help moving around. It’s a big pain in the ass to be turned away at a restaurant. Stop being a corporate apologist and keep your stupid opinions to yourself.
Does anyone else know if this is true or is Red Robin actually offering the burger and fries from 11/1-14?
[Editor: An update from Red Robin: One free Red’s Tavern Double with Bottomless Steak Fries for Veterans
and Active-Duty Military on Fri., Nov. 11th. Dine-in only.]
It is only November 11th, according to other sites…sorry!
I agree Iit sure did say Nov 11-14th
I think it is great that some businesses offer veterans discounts and free meals or discounted meals. But I do not think it is right to mention those who do not offer us “deals.” No one owes us anything for serving our country but I seriously appreciate those that do.
Amen. No one owes me anything and I gladly pay for my meals. Army draftee vet was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany, 1960-62 during Berlin Crisis. I thank all vets for their service!
Waffle House offers a veteran’s discount year-round with valid ID. Just ask your server. My husband and I have been enjoying this for many years and want to thank them for considering the veteran. Many of the managers come and talk to us when we are there. Very nice to be recognized.
MANY MERCHANTS HERE IN SOUTHERN OREGON ARE ON YOUR LIST AND I WOULD LIKE TO HUMBLY SAY THANK YOU TO ALL OF THEM.
Wow I love this site.
Thank you for providing this information.
Comfort Inn hotels also gives discount anytime of the year or any hotels, I’m a spouse of a retired veteran and I always ask for discounts anywhere I go.
No places in Ct. that support one overnight stay for Veterans Day.
Now if we could only afford gas to go to these!
GOLDEN NUGGET CASINO IN ATLANTIC CITY NJ. THEY WILL NOT UPGRADE YOUR PLAYERS CARD IF YOU’RE A VETERAN. ALMOST ALL OF THE CASINOS IN ATLANTIC CITY DO UPGRADE YOUR PLAYERS CARD. MCCORMICK & SHMUCKS IN HARRAH’S HAS GIVEN FREE MEALS ON VETERANS DAY FOR YEARS. LASTLY, THANKS TO ALL YOU VENDORS WHO APPRECIATE US VETS. FIRST CAV 1965-1966
thanks for sounding off, Leonard. Some people, thankfully a very few, are still treating vets like they did in the mid 1960’s. LeRoy Williams, also First Cav 1965-1966. I went over with the Division from Fort Benning, GA (on the pocket Aircraft Carrier “Boxer” out of Jacksonville, FLA-Aug, 1965)
I am so glad you do things for Veterans! I’m a proud wife of a Vietnam veteran who was drafted, we really did serve right along with them. We also suffered the hard times and the mean comments and hatred but we were always proud to serve!
Couldn’t find any places around where I live (Ct) that has one night stay for Veterans.
Thank You So Much!!!
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store In Port Saint Lucie, Fl. says they do not offer anything for Veterans. Never have and never will.
It looks like again this year I will not be able to find a free meal. I am Vegan and apparently, although veganism is growing by leaps and bounds, the corporations still don’t think veterans will eat it. Many of the restaurants listed do have vegan food on their regular menus, just not for the “special” menu.
Hi! I used to be vegetarian, so I understand the struggle. A favorite go-to for me is The Olive Garden. The “Soup, Salad & Breadsticks” combo has always been an offering for Veteran’s Day free meals. Their minestrone soup is vegan.
Can’t believe someone would cry about not getting free stuff. Sounds like that’s the only reason you served.
I agree we should not be upset about not getting a discount or free anything. I do not think anyone served thinking they would get free stuff afterwards.
I’m fairly certain that the Vegan selections are less expensive than the usual fare. They wouldn’t be taking on any greater burden.
You might just try asking to substitute…
I served twenty years, I thank and appreciate company’s that offer veteran discounts. Having said that, we should not expect discounts, nobody owes us any thing.
Robert, I agree whole heartedly. I appreciate any company that offer these discounts to veterans. I served 14 years and did so for the love of my country and to protect those I left behind. I did not do it to be paid back.
Good God, how fcking embarrassing. “They won’t give me a free meal catered to my dietary wants”. How damn pathetic.
Not true, I get the discount year round, unless they changed it since last week
I know, next they’ll want a kosher meal
Thank you!
Thanks for posting the places where we can go for discounts on Veteran’s Day.
Are there any places offering free dental cleanings this Veteran’s Day?
Dunno about Vet’s Day, but if you’re near a college, jr. college or university with a dental techician curriculum, students there will do cleanings as part of their lab requirements free or for a nominal charge.
THANKS TO ALL THE VENDORS AND BUSINESS WHO HONOR US VETS. I WISH WEGMANS IN ROCHESTER NY WOULD DO SOMETHING FOR VETS THE FOUNDER OF WEGMANS WAS A FORMER U.S. MARINE. SEMPER FI!!!
This is so great that people are offering these great deals, it makes me proud of this wonderful contry!!!!
As a 90% disabled Veteran I appreciate the support of the community in going out of their way to show gratitude to everyone who has served.
Suggestion: I would love to see more businesses offering to go meals as it’s hard for some to get in and out of the restaurants. Thank you for your consideration.
if you are 90% then DO yourself a BIG favor and apply for individual unemployability..It will bring you up to 100%…there is a tremendous $ difference between 90 and 100
Did you serve in Vietnam?
Yes, never looked for free bee’s. Don’t now. My wife does.
Linda, thank you for your service. Your comment made me realize that our disabled veterans with mobility issues there aren’t any transportation businesses (Uber, Lyft, taxi companies) on the list. A local transportation discount offer would be appreciated on the 11th. Or even food delivery services for Vets who are house bound. But, at least locally I can provide such transportation services (instead of waiting for some else to step up) on the 11th for my brother and sister vets! (CDR, USN, Ret and Vietnam in-country medic, US Army, Jan-Dec 1970)
Thank you for the support of the American veterans we appreciate all the business support.
How difficult is it to KNOW if you have Red Lobster, Bob Evans, Olive Garden, Krispy Items donuts, Little Caesars, IHOP and other national food chains near you? I don’t have to look since I live in a rural area where there aren’t all these options. I’m not driving 60 miles to get a free donut. Much appreciation to those that make the donation to fellow veterans.
I too live in rural area and it is a drive to find any of these places but we do have a few local places that step up and do help Veterans
The Fifth Baptist Church Veterans Ministry members are very grateful to all businesses that recognizes veterans, military retirees, and their families with a lengthy list of goodies and services on Veterans Day. Thank you.
thank you to all. It is nice to have the support. God Bless you all.
Thanks for taking the time to do this. It’s appreciated.
Thank you so much for the 411 on discounts; we really appreciate it.
I get it that a lot of places cannot afford to offer veterans more than a limited menu item.. but some of these places such as 7/11 who is offering a free .50 cent coffee or 1.25 free Big Gulp is just insulting. We are not asking for a free porterhouse steak and lobster but it’s a shame to see huge chain restaurants or businesses not offering anything. It’s not about getting free stuff, it’s about your company showing appreciation to the very people who make it possible for you to own a business in the United States.
There is no Target discount on the app.
Read on. There is a great Target discount towards the end of the list
It’s wonderful to see the list of businesses that honor our veterans and active military. Remember to support them throughout the year.
You should do this list by state…….it’s mind boggling to try to find out what is available in my area.
Most of the places are national chains or local businesses. How hard can it be to scroll down the page?
Thank you, the list was very helpful
Please update the correct link for Chick-Fil-a
And I always say being in the military got me nothing. Thanks for the coffee…
Thank you to all of the business / individuals that honor and acknowledges our services! Thank you for your acknowledgement. Please know it was my honor to serve and protect our country and democracy!
Since moving to Montana (Flathead Valley) has been the first time I have been recognized and thanked for my service….I was enlisted in 1977 in the USAF. This is right after Vietnam and during peace time. I was discharged in 1981 and went into the Air guard and discharged after two years. At my active duty discharge I was not entitled to any war time veteran opportunities and felt like my time of duty had no meaning or honor. But when I was told by a friend to go to the Army guard base and they will help me get my Vet on my license I was very glad to know that even though I served during peace time I was worth something to this country. I had vowed to to serve my God and my country and would have given my life for what I believed in. So, when I had applied to join a veterans association and told I did not qualify I really felt ousted and not worthy to even say I served my country. So, thanks to all who have served whether in war time or peacetime you are all worthy of the honor to be called a veteran. I pray we can honor those who lost their lives specially in Vietnam- they are our lost brothers and sisters who came back to this country and shamed by the ones they pledged to serve and die for. Please have a wonderful Veterans day and be proud always! If anyone remembers me I served from 1977 to 1981- Okinawa-Kadena AB 1979-1981- Air Nat’l Guard Van Nuys ANG 1981-1983.
Beth, regardless of where you served, you are a veteran; fight for your Rights!!
American Legion, Post 156 ,would be proud to have you as a member. Reply for info’
Beth I feel the same way, I served Oct 75 to Oct 81 US Navy. USS Lasalle Commander Middle east Force and the finished in Norfolk.
Never felt I was even a Veteran and forget any benefits.
I served on “The Great White Ghost of the Arabian Coast” USS LaSalle (AGF-3) from 1975 to 1977. What an adventure! You contributed to the important work of representing our country. You’re a veteran! And you are also a Shellback, right? LaSalle crossed the equator during my tour aboard.
Hi Beth, when you sign up for the military you can never be sure whether it will be peaceful or not. Your service is just as important to be there trained and ready to go if a conflict or other need should arise. Not only am I proud to have served, it prepared me for a very successful civilian career.

Hello Elizabeth
Thank you for your service, until a few years ago I always just laid low as I served from 1981-1989 and was at Costco on Veterans day sitting next to a WW11 Navy Vet and just asking what he did in the service, not originally letting him know I served in the USAF. After just listing to his stories for 20 or so minutes, he asked if I had served and my reply was I did but it was in peace time under Pres Regan and no one messed with the U.S to speak during my Service so I didn’t see any hard times. He then asked me did I know why no one messed with the U.S. during that time and I replied because we had a Commander and Chief with a set and he stated I was wrong, it was because I served no one messed with the U.S. at that point a light came on and I want you to know I appreciate every day of your Service so hold your Head High:)
Sincerely
Dave Stewart

Don’t feel like you need anyone else to validate your service! You served your country and were willing to do whatever was needed of you. Know you are appreciated for your service.
Beth, you are no less a veteran than anyone else. You raised your right hand. You served your country. You took an oath. From a fellow vet, thank you for your service. You served with honor.
Anyone with 180 days active service was, I thought, a ‘veteran’, regardless of service branch (Cost Guard is actually not a ‘DOD agency’ per se, it is still “military”.
I would check with a VSA Officer to see about your status.
Thanks to all contributors.
In honor of Veterans Day 2022, AlpineRings.com is doubling their normal military discount to 30%. This sale is open to all US veterans and their families on Nov 11. Service connection must be verified.
Gorgeous rings!
What’s nice about Lowe’s is the 10% savings to Veterans year round using their credit card. In addition the cashier will say “thank you for your service “.
I put 20 years in and was both in the Pacific and Atlantic, Med and The Caribbean and saw a lot of fighting going on including the Guld war. I was stationed on the Aleutian Islands for several years during the cold war. Been to port I don’t even remember the names of anymore. But I would have to say that most of those were the best days of my life. Being able to serve my country, get those ribbons and medals for a job well done and even carry battle scare around to this day. If I was still able to, I’d still serve with PRIDE in todays US NAVY. (TMC) forever!
Good Stuff!!!!!
Hey: Thanks for listing purveyors of goods&/or services for ‘free’ or discunted to us veterans. I’ll patronize them in the future – just because they ‘care’about us enough to ‘think’ of us. Thanks to all of them.
Tom
Trying to get a a I’d card, not looking for medical . Just a I’d card to prove I’m a veteran.
Veteran ID Card: https://www.va.gov/records/get-veteran-id-cards/vic/
Get it on your driver’s license.
How do I get it on my licenses?
[Editor: Getting your Veteran status on your drivers license is available in all 50 states. Please Google “(your state) Veteran status drivers license.”]
All you need is a DD214 if you kept that copy.
Apple offers a 10% discount if you buy online and you can find the website that you order on. You have to verify service thru ID verification. Website also states family members qualify also. Strongly suggest you go to Apple website first to get price as I ordered phone from the military apple site and got 10% off. However when my wife went to same website the price was $100 more than the price on the regular Apple Store site. Website for Apple military discount is as follows: apple.com/shop/browse/home/veterans_military
Or google “Veterans and Military Store – Apple”
I was thinking that it might be more valuable if you could pull it up by city. There about 10 or 12 different zip codes in the Kansas City area and it is time consuming (and irritating to some extent) to have to sift thru the list to find something in each area. We print the list out and hand it to the veterans who inquire about who has the discounts.
Keep your food, etc , and how about a truthful Welcome Home , will do !!!!!
Nah fam, we’re trying to eat, a lot!
Sad that the biggest American name businesses (i.e. Amazon, Disney, Walmart and McDonald’s) offer NOTHING to celebrate Veterans’ Day. That’s why they are so rich. They only think about their bottom line…their profit.
Thank you very much for this information for the Vetrans.
Come on, no one owes us anything. If a company/business wants to offer us deals then great but don’t look down on those that do not.
I agree! If Walmart, for example, offered something for Veterans, they would have thousands show up, “claiming” to be a Veteran. I have had people tell me that they are Vets, and when I asked them where they served, they said they were not allowed to talk about their service, because they took an oath of secrecy! HA!
Disney has a discount on their streaming services.
Disney+ now offers an exclusive military discount through The Exchange — eligible U.S. service members, veterans, and their families* can sign up for Disney+ and receive 25% off the annual subscription price.
This offer is available in many countries/regions around the world where Disney+ is currently available. The military discount cannot be combined with any other promotional pricing and is applicable to the annual Disney+ subscription only. If you’d like to sign up for the monthly payment plan or The Disney Bundle, keep in mind that the military discount is not available for these plans.
*Please note that military discount pricing is available to new and eligible returning Disney+ subscribers only with a current Exchange membership. Existing Disney+ subscribers are not eligible to redeem this discount.
Do Veterans Day discount and free meals apply to PR?
Can provide business names?
WE Appreciate All the Family’s & Businesses in Our Great Country that Realize & Respect All the Past & Present Sacrifices Our Awesome Military Has Done & Will Forever Continue to do!! Thank you!!
God bless our Vets
Ss on dd214 is different than ss # originally. Had to get different ss # . Some years back. How to fix please. Well no one has helped!!!!!
You can change your info for a Veteran ID Card at https://www.va.gov/records/get-veteran-id-cards/vic/
You can file a DD 149 to correct any information to your DD 214. It may take a year so be patient and you will receive a DD 215 with the correct SSN
contact the office of your congress person , it will move along faster.
Finally, I fiund a place that kusts them all. Thank you!
I do not understand your post.
Typo–fingers one off “home”.
It’s just full of typos – should be “finally, I found a place that lists them all.”
What do you mean?
Thanks to all for recognition of our Veterans; After 26 years myself – I would do it again even without the recognition. HOWEVER: beware of those who say they support our Vets – some restaurants I called said they were not sure if they were going to support this cause this year. I think they are just on the listing to get free advertising. Anyway – those that are supporting – THANK YOU!!!!
I don’t think it would be good advertising to have vets come to them and they don’t follow throu.gh
thought Amazon was offering a discount for Prime subscriptions? Got conflicting or ambiguous info from them when I could get through.
[Editor: This would a couple years ago.]
Yes, they did offer this a few years ago but not since then. I keep hoping they will again each year.
Thanks to all the companies that are supporting the Veteran community. As I reflect back doing the Viet Nam war, we did not receive any recognition for the service we rendered to America.
I am proud to be an America, my entire family has served in the US Military including my wife. I have three children’s who are working for the US government or served in the military.
Again, thanks to all the support are recognizing our Veterans and their families. God Bless them all and God Bless America.
Great Deals for the Vets, “Welcome Home”, to all, and thank you to those serving active today.
From a old Marine Veteran of Vietnam, 3/9 Grunt.
Semper Fi Marine, I am Vietnam Era, never went, but proud to have served.
I live in the greatest country in the world. Thank You America.
These gifts are deeply appreciated and show the respect to our service. Sincere thanks..
Please send me proof of account. Thanks
Is it possible to sort these out by state? No many in California.
Is it possible to sort these out by state?
Don’t these businesses realize that these free offers to us Veterans may be one of the only meals that Vet may have that day?
Also these offers will bring in future business to that establishment. If the offer is there they should honor it. We don’t take dishonesty too lightly.
Thanks for all you do to honor our Vets. I would like to ask what could be done for the spouses of these wonderful veterans if they have lost them through death or nursing home care, do we just stop honoring them? My husband resides in a memory care unit at a nursing home, and I honor him everytime I see him. He served his country in Vietnam 66-67.
God bless you both.
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate what these businesses are doing for us Vets thanks to everyone of them.
Charley battery 1/83rd FA January 1970 – March 1971
I agree. Charlie Battery, 1st Bn 81st Field Artillery Neu Ulm West Germany Dec 1972 – Sep 1974
Thanks for all you do. Over 20 yrs of military serving our country, also 1 yr in Vietnam 68-9
Too bad many veterans only did 4-6 years and got out. If you did not retire or have medical issues you don’t have a military ID anymore. DD-214 is only for active duty not national guard or reservists.
Any Vet has a VA ID card for medical services. That’s our ID without being a lifer.
VA will give an ID to vets with DD214, retirees who still work exceed income limit and must rely on Tricare/Medicare. VA refused me any benefits and denied any disability.
Yes, the same thing happened to me. I learned that my retired income was over the VA financial threshold and I also was denied benefits. This denial was after I filled out all the paperwork and went through the VA for a complete physical. If the VA would have notified me up front that there was a financial threshold, I would not have used their time or mine with 3 doctor’s appointments to assess my disabilities. Within the VA community, the financial threshold trumps disabilities and that’s all right; I understand the rationale for this decision. However, the VA needs to provide this information to the Veteran BEFORE the process is initiated.
[Editor: Please see VA health care eligibility, here: https://www.va.gov/health-care/eligibility/. There is only an income threshold for VA pension; the rest of VA’s non-health benefits, like disability compensation, do not have an income threshold.]
The financial threshold is for Veterans seeking FREE care for injuries/conditions that are not Service Connected. Even if you exceed the income level, you can still use the VA as a Primary Care provider and they will bill your insurance and you may have to pay a copay. My uncle did this (VA charged him a copay and billed his insurance) for few years because he didn’t like the company insurance in-network doctors in his area.
FWIW, it’s helpful to read the eligibility rules for yourself and consult a Veteran Service Officer from the American Legion , VFW , or County Rep because many of the local VA employees don’t know all the rules. VA Regional facilities seem to be more knowledgeable.
Me too, my state, Texas, recognizes me as 100% disabled vet but the VA won’t, they told me I make too much money
Your comment is 100% confusing.
Veteran ID Card: https://www.va.gov/records/get-veteran-id-cards/vic/
Any Veteran has a dd214 available. You can request yours, and your entire military records, through the National Archives. Find the link here: https://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records . Your State or County’s Veteran Service Officer will help you with the request, or any other problem. They can be found with a quick Google search. They are a fantastic resourse. Reserve, Gaurd or Active Duty, you are a Vet and have a record, DD-214 and honor from myself and many more. Thank you for your service Sir.
Where did you dream up this information.
In my state you can get verified and they put Veteran directly on your Driver’s License or state id. Also even if someone is over the income threshold they can receive free VA care for a Service Connected Disability.
I appreciate the offer to vets and active but it would be nice if they offer a gift card for a $ free item so that we can go to several places during say the month . I did see cracker barrel in ne ohio refuses to honor us. No discounts or free item even on nov 11 .
Thats really nice tõ let vets know. My husband veteran just passed on Feb. 13, 2022
THANKS for your commitment to veterans .
thank you for this link and all the give back offers.
I appreciate the courtesy shown to veterans by these businesses. Thank you
Although the last thing that I need is a free meal, I love seeing the community support of our veterans.
It’s so nice to see the respect given to us Veterans today !!
Back in 1968-1972 we received more Rude Behavior towards us than the Respect we deserved !
Very informative. I enjoyed reading about all the offers for veterans and active duty military. It’s nice to be recognized for the efforts of our military. I think this is a good page. Kenneth E. TATEM
Very nice to see The respect given to our veterans and active duty by so many.
Thanks for this, otherwise scattered information.
Will Amazon offer a discount for Prime this year?
thank you !
Thank you..! But, try for more benefits & discounts…! National wide. Or all the 50 States.! ???
Thank you to all these great businesses who honor America’s Veterans. To all of us who served and are able to take advantage of these Veteran’s Day offers, remember the establishments who made these offers and frequent them through out the year, not just on Veteran’s Day.
I commend all of these organizations for what they do for the Veterans as i am a dav
Thank you for honoring us Veterans !!!
THANK YOU for the information.
Thank you for this list God bless America
This is a great example of what the U.S.A. ,is all about. I am a disabled Viet Nam vet, and I have had some issues about how we were all treated, but as time passes, and I grow older, I am softening. I will always be very proud of my service and pray each day that everyone can live in peace. Thank you to all of the generous organizations that are making this Veterans Day a memorable one. Thank you.
This is a very thoughtful action for all the companies that are participating. I feel as if discounts should be at least 15% available at all locations; and all year around. Military lives matter too, especially when civilians lives matters 365 days.
Disabled Veteran
Thank you to all participating businesses. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
Awesome! Thank you!
Would someone please let me know who to contact to add a year-round veterans discount?
Military.com has a great site for veterans discounts.
I don’t normally partake of the “freebies.” I gladly give up my place in line to homeless or financially struggling Veterans. Still, I appreciate the many merchants offering free meals and services to our Veterans.
Dickie’s BBQ DOES NOT honor their offer, at least the one I go to. I was told they had a limit of 5 free sandwiches.
Hence the name “Dickie’s”.
All and all the “free “ has definitely improved, some are still alil ridiculous , but most have stepped it up and very much appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to let us now about these specials for veterans
Definitely thank you for the list. An appreciation of service is always welcome.
Interested
Gracias por el Apollo a nosotros los veteranos de Guerra pero en puerto rico son pocos los que patrocinan el Dia del veterano.Hay pocos los patrocinadores
Love all the appreciation shown to Veterans
LOVE IT, LOVE IT.
Thank you for providing this lengthy list of discounts available to those eligible current and former military service members on Veterans Day. I personally appreciate recognition for my service to our country.
sure seems to be aquite a few that don’t list VETERANS in there deals…
Veterans seem to be overlooked quite a bit when it comes to discounts. You can have 80% service-connect as a Veteran and still be treated like a red-headed step child.
Thanks to all the restaurants for the donation of a meal or drink! It seems like there are more this year!
Texas Roadhouse meal voucher is smart, maybe more restaurants will offer this deal.
There are only so many restaurants to go to in one day.
I agree it’s a smart concept.
Hi! May we make an update? I support Fired Pie with PR & Marketing and they are located in Arizona not California. :) May we ask you to update your listing to reflect Arizona? Thank you!
[Editor: Done!]
This is such a great thing. I know a lot of older Vets from visiting my local senior centers who do not have access to your information. So, as a Korean War Vet, myself, I usually make a list of these freebies and discounts and pass them to these folks. Thanks to all the merchants and the VA News for posting.
Thank you for your service then and now!
Thank you, Joe. That means a lot.
All of the military appreciate and thank all that support us.
Thank you for honoring all Veterans. Feeling the appreciation from these merchants to those that have served is greatly rewarding and lifts our pride to have served our Country
I usually find GREAT CLIPS on the list. but not today
It is there.
Veterans Day discounts on haircuts
Great Clips – November 11, 2022
Veterans and active-duty military can visit a U.S. Great Clips salon on November 11 to receive either a free haircut that day or a free haircut card to use at a later date. Visit the Great Clips website for details.
Sports Clips – November 11, 2022
Some locations will be offering free haircuts to Veterans and active-duty service members on November 11. Visit the Sports Clips website for details and participating locations.
Thank you for this list God bless America.
They are there. Always. Ours already has a sign up.
Great clips is on the list under hair cuts section
To all Marines, past and present..Ooo Rahhhh!!’ from and old retired First Sergeant
the wife and I will be enjoying another nice Veterans Day at Bob Evans for lunch and then another good meal at Applebee’s for diner. Hope everyone enjoys the day for the military and their families and Thanks to all the supporting business’.
I do appreciate these restaurants. And I know this will sound like I’m ungrateful, but just want to warn everyone last year my wife and I (both veterans) went to Olive Garden their veterans meal was terrible. It was so dried out neither of us ate more then a few bites.
Thanks for the feedback . . . . and heads-up.
I’m sorry to hear that. My husband ordered the lasagna from Olive Garden. It was huge. He took half of it home. I got some leftovers, delicious!
Hoo yaa!! SBT12
Thanks to all.. I’m going to have Breakfast at Dennys then lunch at Applebees. I’m so happy for this.
thank you to all these fine companies and their people for going that extra mile to show they truly care
Other than Starbucks, I see there is nothing offered to vets on the Kenai peninsula of Alaska. I’m sure there are plenty of Veterans and active duty service members that live here.
From this longtime former Alaska resident, I think it might be time to make the drive to Anchorage to find more deals honoring veterans. The list of things not available on the Kenai is ten miles longer than what’s there. If you want deals go where the businesses are. It should go without saying to go anywhere near active duty or guard bases.
I live in a MILITARY TOWN, 29 PALMS CALIFORNIA. 5 Miles or so from the MARINE BASE. This town is terrible to say the least. I can count on one hand how many businesses give a MILITARY DISCOUNT & Still have fingers left, SAD BUT TRUE. CORP. STORES/BUSINESSES Etc. Like they can’t afford it. If it wasn’t for our DOD There Wouldn’t Even Be an AMERICA or a Business. I Lost My Husband of 20yrs. On MEMORIAL DAY 2016 Of ALL DAYS. I THANK & LOVE/RESPECT ‘ALL’ OUR AWESOME MILITARY MEN/WOMEN. MAY GOD BLESS YOU & YOURS ALWAYS…. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN AMERICA ?? ? IS #1 & THE GREATEST!!! AMERICA ?? ?? ?? ??
Hafa Adai ! Great stuff for my ” Che’los”, (chamorro vet for brothers and sisters) .
Thank you to all the establishments who have offered these opportunities for our Veterans and great thanks for the VA listing them.
Look forward to visiting one of these places for a good meal we appreciate it. Siempre fi
It is truly awe inspiring to those businesses who honor the veterans who have given so much for this country ! Thanks so much for your support !!
Thank you one and all. Might have been better in 1968, but I appreciate it more now. Again thank you America.
It does make you feel good that so many businesses out there not only observe Veteran’s Day but also provide us with so many choices on where to visit on that day. Maybe we are not as forgotten as we sometimes think we are. Many thanks to the VA for posting the list.
I think it is great to see merchants make this effort to recognize the veterans throughout America. While a vet can only visit one or two of the merchants during Veterans Day, I will look to patronize all these merchants during the year!
What happened to
Waffle House?
Thanks to all participants from a Vietnam and Desert Storm vet!
Who do I contact to offer a year-round veterans discount?
THANK YOU for this information!
I think this is great. The only thing is…Here in the panhandle of Florida, there aren’t very many of these national brands located near enough for me to go to one of them.
That’s alright though, I like the thought behind the message, and I’m glad to see the younger veterans and service men and women getting the benefits of the free meals and drinks and the reduced rates.
Thanks to all the businesses that are participating in this outreach to veterans and service members.
Would you please consider make a search function by zip code next year? It would make it easier for traveling.
