In order to provide continued top-notch care for our Veterans, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) looks toward enhancing the abilities of our employees. That’s why career development never stops at VHA. We offer one of the most comprehensive employee education programs in the nation. We work hard to ensure our employees have access to tools, benefits, and training that provide the type of personal and professional growth needed to take their careers to next level.

Employee Education System (EES)

The Employee Education System serves as the organization dedicated to providing our health professionals with new learning opportunities through our nationwide Employee Education Resource Centers (EERCs). These centers provide VA professionals with the most up-to-date resources, a collaborative environment and necessary training.

Accessibility: VA Online Learning

If you’re not near an EERC, that doesn’t mean that development takes a pause. VA’s educational resources can be accessed online 24/7, giving our employees an added level of convenience. With more than 1,500 e-learning courses, VA Learning Online (VALO) puts growth just a click away for our employees.

College and Universities

Through local colleges and universities, VA employees get direct access to general and specialized coursework. VA offers an array of repayment and reimbursement plans to ensure our employees get the education they need without the burden of cost.

Expand your education and grow professionally, Join VA.

This system is a joke as well. I submitted my son back in Oct 2015 and the online system tells me that they won’t have a decision until at earliest Aug 2016 maybe as long as July 2017. There is no decision to be made in my mind. All they have to do is click a damn button and they can’t seem to do even that.

Lovely, and VA Online Learning is a great boon. But I guess the list will need to be added with more programs for diverse opportunities possibly, and for better addressing the missing needs
