The VA Nursing Academic Partnership (VANAP) is a collaborative effort between VA facilities and the country’s finest nursing schools to provide students with a Veteran-focused clinical experience. Throughout its 25 nationwide locations, VANAP offers our nursing students a comprehensive and intensive 4-year clinical training.
The program creates a stronger, mutually beneficial relationship between nursing schools and VA facilities by giving students the opportunity to engage with faculty and ultimately provide better patient care as they put classroom concepts into practice. By the end of the program, graduates are fully accustomed to the culture and mission at VA. Meanwhile, the program provides VA with top-quality nurses to care for our Veterans. Ultimately, VANAP was designed to specifically to address the unique needs of our nurses in treating the Veteran population so they can excel in careers at VA.
If you’re a current nursing student or looking to go back to school, explore the 18 partnerships competitively selected at schools throughout the country.
