Recently, VA purchased 28 additional ReWalk Personal Exoskeleton Systems to support an ongoing national clinical trial. The study—which is the first of its kind in the United States—examines the impact of exoskeleton use in a personal setting, with the goal of advancing care for Veterans with spinal cord injury. As we reflect on our new acquisition, we are reminded of how essential medical technology is to helping patients and our employees reach their full potential.
Among the many tools and resources we provide our employees, is an electronic patient record system that’s earned Harvard’s prestigious Innovations in American Government Award. We are also pursuing device development projects in health monitoring and maintenance, each of which addresses an unmet clinical need and involves state-of-the-art microsystems. What’s more, our Advanced Platform Technology Center is taking advantage of new developments in material science, flexible microelectronics and nanotechnology to create solutions for some of the challenges involved in integrating technology with the human body.
These are just a few of the countless ways we incorporate advanced medical technology throughout our organization.
For talented professionals like you, this means an opportunity to grow while giving back to America’s Veterans. If this sounds like your kind of career, explore our open positions and apply for one today.
