On June 6th, VA gathered with more than 250 government and health industry leaders in Washington D.C. to honor our peers and accept recognition from Federal Health IT for 11 of our most advanced health-information technology (IT) innovations:
Video Connect, which virtually connects caregivers and patients.
Annie app, which sends patients appointment reminders, messages from their local VA Medical Center, and health-monitoring prompts via text.
Veteran Appointment Request App (VAR), which allows Veterans to self-schedule appointments at VA facilities and request assistance when needed.
Health Hub, a one-stop shop for all VA programs, with guides to complementary care programs.
Emerging Health Technology Advancement Center (EHTAC), a lab environment to explore new technologies and trends.
VA Innovators Network, a resource for employees to see and solve problems at the facility level.
Continuous Readiness in Information Security Program (CRISP), which protects medical devices connected to VA networks.
MyVA Performance Management Dashboard, which implements a new performance management structure to improve programs and strategic initiatives.
Enterprise Veterans Operations, a customer relationship management system.
VistA Intake, which leverages software solutions created by developers outside VA’s Office of Information & Technology (OI&T).
Veterans Benefits Management System, a multi-year technology solutions project to transition the Veterans Benefits Administration from a paper-intensive environment to a paperless-based one.
