VA is excited to launch the first ever VA Mental Health Trainee and Early Career Recruitment and Connection Event. This eight-week initiative aims to “Connect, Match, and Place” trainees and early career professionals in available mental health positions at VA facilities nationwide. This event is focused on for psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, licensed professional mental health counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, and other disciplines interested in working in MH.
To kick things off, join us on May 15th for an optional Virtual Career Chat to chat with a VA clinician about working at VA or with a recruiter to learn about VA benefits and student loan repayment options.
Mental Health Trainee Virtual Career Fair
Tuesday, May 15th | 1:00 – 3:00 PM CST
Register today!
You do not need to attend the optional Virtual Career Chat to get matched with VA facilities. During registration, you’ll be asked to select your top five preferred VA locations. After May 15, VA will reach out to you personally for a phone call “meet and greet.” This is a unique opportunity to pursue a career at VA through an expedited, non-competitive hiring process. As part of our team, you’ll enjoy comprehensive benefits, a healthy work/life balance and much more. Above all, you’ll experience the honor of serving America’s Veterans.

I missed the opportunity to do the trainee program but I am definitely interested if there is another class coming up in the near future.
I missed this opportunity but I am interested in obtaining a position with the VA in mental health. I have 10 years of mental health experience as a RN and would like to find out how, who and whereI can send my CV. My passion is working with military in this aspect.
