Today, March 8th, is the 110th anniversary of International Women's Day. It is the perfect time to pause, recognize, and honor the enormous contributions and accomplishments of women from all walks of life who have long served as champions of social change and equal rights for all Americans.

Dr. Mark Logue, an Army Veteran, is a statistician in the National Center for PTSD at the VA Boston Healthcare System. His research interests include the genetics of brain disorders such as PTSD, Alzheimer’s disease, and anxiety.

Rodney, a Navy Seabee with a 16 year military career, used VA educational benefits to earn a degree in 2017. The VA was hiring for a new hotline call center and Rodney knew the path he wanted to take, the path that continued his service and allowed him to help fellow Veterans.

Judith Foster, a social worker at the VA Medical Center in Dublin, Georgia, won the National Salute to Service Award from the Code of Support Foundation. Judith's husband and several of her family members are Veterans making her work at the VA very personal. She is focused on helping Veterans overcome challenges and this award signifies her success.

Warrior Canine Connection met Cpt. Jenine Melton at VA's central office to recognize her service by naming one of their new puppies after her.
