If you weren’t ready to file a claim for VA benefits related to the PACT Act last fall, but did submit an intent to file (ITF) on or before Aug. 14, 2023, you still have time to file your claim. To protect the earliest potential effective date, you must file your claim within one year of the date that you filed your ITF.
