Today's #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Paris D. Davis, who earned the Medal of Honor for service in Vietnam.

When he was informed that he would receive the Medal of Honor, Cpt. Groberg said, “‘Thank you for recognizing me, but this does not belong to me. It belongs to them.’ That’s how I’m coping with it mentally. This gives me an opportunity to represent them and their families.”

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Charles Long, who fought in the Battle of the Bulge and earned a Medal of Honor for securing his platoon’s retreat in the Korean War.

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Marine Corps Veteran John McGinty, who received a Medal of Honor for his leadership during the Vietnam War.

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Navy Veteran Michael Monsoor, who served as a Navy SEAL during Operation Iraqi Freedom and posthumously received the Medal of Honor.

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Brian L. Buker, who who was posthumously awarded a Medal of Honor during the Vietnam War.

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Alfred Rascon, who served in Iraq, Afghanistan and Japan and earned a Medal of Honor for his actions in Vietnam.

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Marine Corps and Air Force Veteran Joe Foss, who fought during the Battle of Guadalcanal and earned a Medal of Honor.

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Marine Corps and Vietnam Veteran Jay Vargas, who was awarded a Medal of Honor.

This week’s America250 salute is Army Veteran Gary Beikirch, a Medal of Honor recipient who risked his life to save others in Vietnam as a combat medic.
