A role built for you

The ICT program is specifically designed for Veterans with military medical training, allowing you to take on health care support roles without any additional licensure or training. Through this program, you can bring your expertise directly to VA medical centers.

Intermediate care technicians take vital signs, draw blood samples, place IVs and care for wounds, as well as prep patients for evaluation, confirm that medical tests are completed, coordinate the patient to different venues and complete the discharge process.

“The ICT position is the first time I’ve seen a great opportunity for medics transitioning out of the military,” said ICT and Veteran Mackenzie Beeman. “With some job searching on USAJOBS, I found the ICT position that was almost an exact description of everything I did and everything I was trained to do in the Army.”
