Whether you’re heading back to school or taking the next step after graduating, we know how important it is to properly highlight your education and academic accomplishments on your resume.
As with any section of your resume, leave no room for recruiters to raise a question. To begin with, supply the essentials, including the full name of the school, your level of degree, your major and/or minor, and the year you graduated (or expect to graduate).
Some federal job announcements may request additional information about your education, while others may not. Read the job announcement thoroughly to make sure you’re including all the requested details. Anything you fail to include is a chance for your application to be rejected.
The next step will be to decide if there’s anything else you can add to help explain why you’re a good candidate. Even if that information isn’t requested in the job announcement, there’s no harm in including information that makes you look good.
