After almost two years of construction, VA recently opened the doors to the new St. Joseph County Veterans Affairs Clinic in Mishawaka, Indiana. This 71,000-square-foot facility provides outpatient services so vast that they’re being rolled out in three phases over the next several weeks. Over 100 people have already been hired, including physicians, nurse practitioners and mental health staff. Additional personnel will be needed to serve our Veteran population as it grows from about 8,000 to an expected 13,000 within two years.
