Military spouses can get answers to employment questions during a one-hour Facebook Live event starting at 3 p.m. Eastern time Feb. 20.
“If you’re a military spouse ready to start or restart a career, VA is eager to help you apply and get hired,” said Tracey Therit, VA’s Chief Human Capital Officer, Office of Human Resources and Administration/Operations, Security and Preparedness. “Our Facebook Live event is just one of many innovative ways we’re reaching out to military spouses with information about the federal hiring process and connecting them with real opportunities.”
The event will stream from the DOD SECO Facebook and VA Careers Facebook pages. Bookmark each page for details on Facebook Live prior to the event date. VA Careers and the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) host the event.
Log on to Facebook during the event to submit questions for Therit and Cheryl L. Mason, Chairman of the Board of Veterans’ Appeals at VA. Mason is also a military spouse.
The MSEP program connects military spouses with more than 390 affiliated employers who have committed to recruit, hire, promote and retain military spouses in jobs everywhere. VA is partnering with MSEP to place military spouses in meaningful careers at VA.
