Human resources (HR)

Our HR teams guide the employee experience from hire to retire. They serve as an essential link between management and employees, while serving an organization with the noble mission of caring for our nation’s heroes

We employ HR managers in a range of capacities to help maintain our administrative functions – from recruitment and labor relations to compensation.


Custodial workers ensure that thousands of medical facilities across the country are clean and safe for patients, staff, and visitors. We rely on them every day, but never more so than during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Food Service/Cook

Help make sure Veterans get the nutritious food they need while staying in our hospitals or community living centers.

We’re in need of food service workers and cooks to prepare, deliver and serve meals. Right now, there are hundreds of positions open in these occupations throughout facilities nationwide.


Motor vehicle operators and transportation assistants make sure patients and supplies get where they need to be on time.

These individuals drive Veterans to appointments, transport items within the VA system, and help ensure vehicles are maintained as a motor vehicle operator.

Transportation assistants determine eligibility for travel entitlements, coordinate transportation needs and process claims for payment of travel.


There are many programs, departments and offices throughout VA that need dedicated administrators and support staff to keep them running smoothly.

Administrative and support staff professionals manage property and vehicles, help new employees get their badges, organize volunteers, provide office support and much more.


Any large organization needs employees with backgrounds in business and management. Work as a management or program analyst and make sure that programs are appropriately planned and monitored, improve the efficiency of our offices, and perform analysis and evaluation.
