Remember when you were a kid and you couldn’t wait to be an adult so you could do anything you wanted? For sure, now that you know “adulting” comes with toil, worry and concerns, you just want to go back to those carefree childhood days. Here’s how to step away from all of that for a few minutes and immerse yourself in the feelings of being happy, healthy, safe and peaceful.

This simple “Loving Kindness” practice has been the subject of many studies, and the outcomes are surprising. Studies have shown that this practice increases social connection and decreases chronic pain, anger and emotional distress. One study found that a 12-week Loving Kindness Meditation course significantly reduced depression and PTSD symptoms among Veterans diagnosed with PTSD.

Give yourself 6+ minutes to feel happy, healthy, safe and peaceful
