Ferdinand Funke was assigned to 614th Tactical Fighter Squadron at Phan Rang Air Base in Vietnam. He flew 222 combat missions against the North Vietnamese.

Nathaniel Raley was assigned to the 12th Air Force and sent to North Africa in 1943 as part of a combat fighter squadron during World War II.

On March 3, 1945, Robert Martin and 23 other Tuskegee Airmen conducted a mission in Slovenia and Austria. Robert’s plane was hit by antiaircraft fire.

Roland Richardson flew 192 combat missions during his tours in the Vietnam War. He served as commander of the 31st Tactical Reconnaissance Training Squadron

Michael Healy served in Korea leading Army Airborne Rangers and in Vietnam leading Special Forces in combat. His five tours of duty in Vietnam earned him the nickname “Iron Mike.”

During his 4th deployment, Fernando was taken as a prisoner of war when his plane was shot down. Fernando spent 101 days in captivity before being released.

Frank McFadden was awarded four Distinguished Flying Crosses, the Purple Heart, twelve Air Medals, and two Navy Commendation Medals.
