Army Air Corps Veteran Edmond T. Burgess served during World War II as tail gunner on a B-17 bomber and received the Purple Heart.

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Navy Veteran John Zenter Mais. John served during World War II from 1943 to 1947. He just celebrated his 91st birthday.

This Veteran served during World War II and is the only Chinese American Veteran to receive the Medal of Honor to date.

Jose traveled through the Panama Canal, to Hawaii, and the Philippines. He served with K Company, 152nd Infantry Regiment, 38th Infantry Division.

Phil served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. During his tour, he was awarded three Purple Hearts for injuries he sustained.

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Peter Brusyo Jr. He in the Army, including assignment in Korea & in Vietnam. Today, Peter rests in Arlington National Cemetery.

Stethers entered the Army in 1944. Stethers, a Purple Heart recipient, earned a American Theater Service Medal & European-African-Middle Eastern Meal

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Iraq War Veteran Omar Elizalde. Graduating from Texas Christian University, Omar served in the Army from 2003 to 2007.
